Beautiful beach! We went on a winter day just to waste time before airport, lots of surfers were out, there was a monk seal just right there in front of us (we didn't get close, and later learned from a sign at a nearby beach that they're endangered, so keeping distance is good), and there are portable bathrooms in the lot.
Watched wind surfing tonight it was so cool watching. Then on January 20 after the raven's & Texans football game we went to this beach to see if we could catch fish on my hand tied jigs. And the following photos is what we caught. All fish caught and released back to the ocean.
Really big waves in the winter time. Everyone will tell you that the waves are really big in the winter time and they are definitely not a calm ocean. The sand on the beach was nice. lots of grass in the park area above the beach. There were thorny weeds in the grass. Lots of birds. The beach was really pretty.t Park was mediocre.
Excellent beach for watching windsurfing and relaxing. Far away from everything, great beach for locals. Not a good swimming beach for small children but good for scuba in the summer. Waves can get pretty big in the winter so stay safe!
Update:. Still awesome, if you go swimming be mindful of the windsurfers. Probably 40 of them on the water at once at times and it can get wild!
As a young child my grandmother loved coming here as a family to camp. Theres bare dirt now when it once was just sand and shrubs. However it still beautiful.
If you are looking to get away from it all, like just you and the beach, then this is the spot. It is very out of the way. Just a porta potty for toilets and run down looking shower and picnic tables. Which is the only reason I gave it 4 stars. It's not really a swimming beach, but a "let's take a solitary walk on the shore and gaze out into the ocean" type of place. I'd definitely go back if I just need some time to think and meditate.
Decent little beach park in a relatively secluded part of the island. Lots of parking and grass room for family BBQs. The beach its self is very rocky and there's really no shade here.
It a great place for swimming if you can get one of the little sand coves. If not, its pretty rocky. We did a little snorkeling and seen a good amount of fish and even 4 turtles just 20 feet or so from shore. There were quite a few kitesurfers hat wee fun to watch and they have some showers and porta potties

Beautiful park with nice shade trees. The water was clear in the early morning and seeing the turtles was easy. Nice shallow water/small waves for little kids. Beautiful snorkeling opportunities. Right next to a playground and bathrooms. Showers were
I loved horseback riding here and the workers were so laid back and friendly! Would definitely come again for a beach ride in the most beautiful place. I love the horses too, esp Ike (:
I love lost, came out to see it and because this beach is so remote and not many tourists come here I would probably come out here again for a beach day. The water was warmer then at the Disney resort and the landscape was much more stunning.
