This was a fun park to visit! The guides were incredibly helpful, and the trails were well maintained. The carriage road was a such a lovely sight to see after those stair master steps! We had a wonderful visit!
Beautiful even on a chilly day, we did spend $15 each for a day pass but very nice view and a good number of trails
Gorgeous place with a lots of hiking trail.. be mindful where you going, dont get lost sometimes its confusing
We tried the Lemon Squeeze(Labyrinth) for the first time and it’s such a different experience from the previous mountain climbings (and lucky to get to the top before it started to rain). Also it’s amazing to see the Mohonk Mountain House from Sky Town when it got dark, foggy and silent. But for us, the luckiest thing is to met the security man, Kevin, he warmly guided us in the dark, companied us for half of the return, showed us dears, introduced the amazing winter scenes and lent us the headlight! Thanks so much, Kevin, who made the trip a perfect ending : )
My wife and I visited the third week of November 2023. We are both vegetarian and while we have been there 3 other times two of them were during the pandemic so the experience was not like the first time which was magical. This past visit was fantastic. The food was divine and the spa service was amazing. Loved the meditation class too!
Had a fabulous hike at the preserve a couple months ago. Please note that if you are not staying at the Mountain House you need to park relatively far away and hike a trail that took us about 35-40 minutes (at a relatively brisk pace) to reach the trails which will take you to sky top tower. However, the views are totally worth it!
The Mohonk Reserve is the largest private nature reserve in New York's Shawangank Range. The reserve inspires people to take care of nature and explore it. Mohonk Preserve was designated a National Historic Landmark. The lands of the reserve are open from sunrise to sunset every day for hiking, climbing, cycling and running. Entrance to the Mohonk Reserve for an adult $15. There are many different trails, there are quite simple ones that are suitable even for children. The reserve is very clean. There are a huge number of viewing platforms, many benches (you can sit if you are tired). Along the way, you can see Mohonk Lake and Mohonk Mountain House. You can also get to the top of the Albert K. Smiley Memorial Tower, and from there enjoy the beautiful views.
Nice small park, clean and well maintained. There are some interesting trails over there, especially one that leads to the Sky Top Tower and goes through the huge crack in the cliff. To reach the tower you have to climb up the set of wooden ladders in very tight space. Views of Mohonk Mountain House are nice from the top of the cliff. But the preserve entrance fee - 15$ per person per day IMHO just is too much.
You guys donât know whatâs the local food yet in upstate. This place only uses local farm product, which first time I could say the difference of the freshness. Highly recommend to try this place. Forgot what fish but look at the size. Especial
Went for lunch and ate outside. Nice large patio with comfy seats. Portions were huge & prices very reasonable. We all took home leftovers. Waitress was great and was able to provide separate checks for our party of 7. .
Our stay was wonderful. The staff was attentive and always available when we had questions. We had a little birthday party for our son on his 7th birthday. We invited some of the staff and other campers who celebrated with us and we had cake. He w
My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Minnewaska Lodge in Gardiner, NY, and our experience was absolutely delightful. The awe-inspiring views of the Shawangunk Mountains provided a breathtaking backdrop, and the hiking trails allo
