The service was a bit disorganized, might have been understaffed and the older lady made some rude comments about us. She probably assumed I couldn’t understand her but I grew up in Boston with friends from all walks of life. The food is seasoned well but you pay way too much compared to the amount of food you get. We went with 2 beef patty and coco bread and I was disappointed that they didn’t offer cheese with it. When I got the beef patty I noticed that they just put your beef patty on top of the coco bread. Maybe I’m spoiled and maybe it’s tradition here but every Jamaican restaurant I’ve been to before cuts the bread and puts the beef patty inside and they offer cheese with it that melts when the warm it all up. You can see from the pics that I cut mines myself. The filling of the patty was lacking, mostly crunchy and greasy but unless I have another option this will be the once in a while stop for an expensive beef patty. We also got the stew beef with rice and beans and mac and cheese. The stew beef flavor was awesome but $20 for 12 small piece of stew beef seemed like I got ripped off. I’m assuming because the older lady didn’t like us for whatever reason they took advantage and gave us small portions. Each thing was individually priced, stew beef, rice and beans, mac and cheese, beef patty and coco bread. $41 was my total and I always tip, even when the service is bad, which cost me $51 for the trip. Honestly I could’ve went to countless restaurants and received better service and food portions. Looking for my next Jamaican food joint cause this ain’t it. Also, beware of the parking, spots are very narrow and you might end up with a dinged/scratched door.

If you're at all a fan of Jamaican food, Mo' Bay is absolutely fabulous. It's not much to look at. They're not "dressed to impress", but they're serving up some DELICIOUS food with a smile. Excellent service! They even offer a selection of imported beverages to complement your Jamaican dishes. Serving sizes are generous, too. I don't think any of us actually finished our meals. You can tell they know what they're doing here. There was a bit of a line after we arrived (we were on the early side for dinner because we had just traveled in and were hungry). Looks like locals cherish this place. I travel all over the world as a flight attendant and LOVE finding gems like this. Outside of Jamaica, the only other place I've been that really impressed with the Jamaican menu was "Turtle Bay" in Manchester, England. And even that was on a different catering-to-tourists kind of level. Mo' Bay is strictly about serving delicious, authentic flavor.

Overall solid. Chicken was good not great. Cabbage was excellent. Plantains excellent. Green beans were straight from a can - why have that on the menu. Coconut drop was fine - caramel was crystallized too much.

Very, very tasty. I was on my way to Savannah last Friday and saw the great reviews for this place and knew I had to get some on my way into town. I called to place an order for carry-out when I was about 20 minutes away and after a few minutes on hold, I was able to get my order placed. It was ready when I arrived. This place is located in a smaller strip mall. There's some seating inside, though not a ton. Bright yellows and greens and Jamaican memorabilia make this place very inviting. There are drink coolers with beverages and you order and pay at the register on the counter. To my surprise, much of the food was in a hot bar on display at the front counter. No big deal or anything - just thought it was interesting. I liked getting a brief glimpse of some of the other yumminess. :) Service was friendly and warm and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Would have been less than five had my card actually agreed with the card machine, but luckily I had cash, lol. I got a medium plate with curry chicken, rice and peas, and macaroni and cheese. It was an ample portion for the money -- two meals for me, easily. Yay for leftovers! The chicken itself was very succulent and fell off the bone. Unlike curry chicken I've had before, this one had a couple of cubes of potato and carrot mixed in, rather than just chicken and curry. I really enjoyed the extra veggies. The rice was fluffy and soft. Little low on the pea ratio but overall yummy, and I'd say mild-moderately spicy. Very much enjoyed it. The macaroni and cheese was good too, though personally, I like mine more with milder cheese. Just a preference thing rather than any actual complaint. I do wish I could've had a slice or two of plantain to round out the experience but I didn't want to add on a third side. Overall, I was very happy with what I got. Definitely give this place a go -- well worth a stop if it's along your route.

Amazing food here and fried chicken is delicious but call ahead and have them fry your chicken so it's fresh & hot! The jerk chili was delicious and the best I've ever had. The staff was super friendly.
