Moapa Motel - Featured Reviews (51)
Was having car troubles and really just needed a quick place to spend the night. A little odd checking in at the gas station but honestly for a small side of the road motel it was great! My family (3 kids, my husband and myself) all slept great. Clerks were amazing and were so kind. We bought a pizza and they gave us another free since we were having a very bad day. Room was nice. Had the bare essentials which was perfect for our emergency overnight stay. Thank you to the clerks for their kindness and help getting a place to stay.
I don’t recommend it! A few weekends ago I traveled with my family, that was for a holiday, on the way we were looking for where to stay and I found this place. I logged into their website and booked a room, the website showed the time you want to book as if they have availability. When we arrived at the place, the cashier told me that unfortunately they did not have rooms and that was a problem that often happened with the website. Because of that, he said I would get my money back and gave me a receipt. It’s the day I keep waiting for my money back.
The rooms were clean. No nonsense check in. We were able to park our hotshot trailer and truck at the store and walk over to the motel. Overall a pleasant experience.
This motel is different I will say. I got the room with 2 beds, which one is a queen and one is a twin, due to the size of the room. It makes sense. I like the fact that the toilet and shower is in a completely different room than the sink and the closet. Yes, the amenities are basic, but this isn’t the Hilton. I did have a hot shower and the water pressure is great. The beds are Tempur-pedic so if you’d like the thick foam, it was comfy. You are right off the highway so it can be noisy if you are sensitive and a light sleeper. So for the dollar, I think it’s a great place to stay. It’s well lit at night, which is very nice and there’s a 24 hour open ampm so if you need a snack or a drink, it’s all there. Very convenient.
Does not except cash. I was short $8. On a two night reservation. They would not except my $8. Therefore I had to stay outside in 40 degree temperature. Does that make sense. Was it a business policy that cost the company $200 in revenue. Was it a good policy that caused me to shiver in cold when I had $192 in my checking account and $140 in my pocket. Common sense is not alive at this establishment.
Location was great, check in was extremely smooth. On the other hand, the moment we entered our room, there was a live cockroach just chillin likes he’s the one who paid $130 for a single night on what appeared to be the set of Dune. We also found a dead spider in the shower and an alive one hanging out by the toilet. In other words, lots of bugs and the floor did not seem like it was swept as my feet got covered in sand or whatever gritty material it was. I was able to sweep an entire pile from a 1sqft spot. I was in room #1. Ryan Trahan needs to stay here!
Bugs. There is bugs. And they wouldn’t give me a refund . He said 10 days for it but it was a debit card so. That’s basically cash. Was my last money and I was forced to sleep there , they gave me a diff room but I had the heebie-jeebies all night , 121$?!? What a joke , check the room. Before you pay.
First off- I was confused by the lack of a front desk because I didn't read my confirmation email. Check in at the gas station!! Even if it looks closed, it isn't. The clerk was perfectly friendly. And the motel was really pretty comfortable. I slept so well, it smelled clean and I love that it's pet friendly. The room was spacious, I could stretch out on the hard floor. It's very minimalistic, no ice, coffee, iron, or extra anything. Just be prepared for that. It's perfect just to crash for the night on your way. Would return.
