Absolutely wonderful and unique shop located in one of our favorite towns in Utah! My daughter and I had so much fun seeing all the different types of rocks available and the prices were so reasonable! We went home with several fossils and rocks, plus a fabulous geode that my daughter bought and we got to see them crack open in front of us! The young girls working the check out desk were incredibly friendly and did a great job with our geode. The entire shop feels like a museum and road side attraction rolled into one and we can't wait to return! Thanks so much for such a fun and friendly experience!
The Moab Rock Shop is probably among the greatest attractions in Moab. They had so much selection from authentic Utah gemstones and rock and even petrified dinosaur bone pieces! The staff there were very friendly, and they even split geodes you want open for you! Overall, a really nice place.
Such a cool place. Good range of prices, so expect to find something you'll want to buy! It felt almost like a museum. The employees were very helpful and explained many of the items to us. EDIT: My younger relative managed to break the amethyst necklace we purchased for her yesterday. (No craftsmanship issues lol...) We returned to ask if they had any repair options, fully expecting to pay for a new one, but the associate offered to replace it at no charge. I hope to someday return here! EDIT 2: Just noticed the multitude of negative reviews. Wow. Everyone, please realize that their prices are super fair, and many rocks and fossils were far cheaper than what I've seen elsewhere. Based on my experiences here and their responses to reviews, this is a very down-to-earth, no-nonsense establishment that wishes to provide education and quality rocks at very reasonable prices, and makes up for the mistakes they make.
If you're in Moab for anything then this place should be on your to-do list. This was one of the highlights of our trip. Be sure to check out the outdoor sections with tables of $1-5 items. It was so neat that I went 2 days in a row, and probably would have been back again if I had another day in town. Both of my kids were amazed with all of the fossils, geodes, and all of the other shiny things. We got some nice treasures for ourselves and souvenirs for people without breaking the bank. There were some incredible fossilized skulls, claws, and teeth, and huge specimens of crystals and petrified wood way out of price range. Some even big enough to make a table out of! Even the rare high ticket items seem reasonably priced.
This is my happy place! The staff couldn't be more welcoming. A stocked inventory means give yourself a few hours and there's more outside. They have Trinitite!
Cool place with some interesting rocks and fossils. I bought some “dinosaur bone” pieces, but a geologist told me they were just cool rocks and had no evidence of being bone at all. There is another rock shop with some better deals but I highly recommend stopping here even to just look around.
If you are looking to add to your rock collection, this is a fun place to browse, and items are resonably priced. Store staff very helpful and knowledgeable in identifying your chosen rocks.
Best place ever... first time was in 2017 and it's only gotten better... massive range of stones and fossils and the staff are just so lovely and kind and knowledgeable. The guy and two girls in there were so lovely to our over energetic 11 yrs old daughter to...lol. answered every one of her million questions with a smile and genuinely seemed to love rocks and fossils themselves. Will definitely be back to this amazing place.
I experienced Skydive Moab with the brilliant pilot Dustin and cameraman and owner Keith yesterday! With such precision to safety and an epic experience everything was handled and I just had to fly. I came to Moab from Park City to film an upcoming s
A great place to stay!. Everything worked just fine. The whole place was very clean with plenty of extra towels, pillows and bathroom supplies. The beds were comfortable. The hot tub was clean and worked great!. The host was quick to respond but did
Awesome trail! We were the only ones riding up. Did it with a Sasquatch Ford Bronco and jeep with 37s and 3 in lift and both were taking on the trail without too much problem. Couldn't take the cars all the way to the top as it was all snowed/icy so
I had a great experience at Desert Power Yoga. Finding a good yoga studio can be challenging, especially when visiting a new place. Desert Power Yoga stands out because of its welcoming community, excellent teachers, and well-balanced classes. I felt

Quicksand Soup's Wednesday show at the Backyard Theater is the best place to be in Moab. The five musicians are incredibly talented, both in their playing and singing. The crowd is almost entirely locals, and I'm pretty sure I was the only non-Americ
*** Very important that you can drive and park next to the double arches trailhead, where is the second stop of that area. The first stop parking lot is for the Windows Section *** This is an extremely easy walk and accessible spot, and i think pers
On Park Ave trail when you come around the corner and see Courthouse towers it takes your breath away. Its a massive formation up out of the ground standing by itself. The shadows at dawn are especially beautiful as you can see the shapes of the ro
