MJ Donuts - Donut shop in Pineville - 325 S Polk St, USA

After two attempts, I finally got my hand on some doughnuts at MJs. Since the selection was vast, I ordered as much as my wallet would allow. 4 Apple Fritters, a Maple Bacon donut, Cinnamon Sugar, and a Cinnamon Roll along with a glazed twisted doughnut. Now the doughnuts were cold, but what do you expect? There's no conveyor belt here ( hint hint). I know when a doughnut needs seven seconds in the microwave to really shine and let me tell you I'd trade everything I ordered for the Maple bacon doughnut because that was the "one" for me. With my order and after finding out that it was my first time successfully visiting (remember I went before and there wasn't that big of a selection, so I left empty-handed), she gave me a ton of doughnut holes on top of all that I ordered. They weren't my favorite doughnuts, but they were really good. The owner, I assume, was the woman working the front, but nonetheless, she was kind and so warm. As I was leaving, there were a few ppl coming in, and they seemed like regulars because she was preparing his box as he walked in, and I could hear some friendly banter!

Fantastic, worth a little extra driving past a couple other donut places. I'm my opinion this is the best place to get traditional style donuts. The filled donuts are so perfectly filled end to end. We surprised Dad for father's day with a maple bacon donut and he was very pleased.

MJ Donuts has, by far, the best cake donuts in the Charlotte area! We bought the blueberry, Chocolate, and finally, Pumpkin Cake. It had the perfect combo of spice and actual pumpkin flavor. It was delicious. When I arrived, we also got hot and fresh donut holes. We will definitely be returning.

The donuts here are a chef’s kiss! 🤌🏾 I love the family owned feeling I get when I go in. They are super nice. Not all about craft & fancy, which I can appreciate, but here it’s just about a dang good donut! I always stop by on Sundays after yoga. They have these huge apple fritters! I thought there’s no way they can be good, well I was so wrong! Well cooked with cinnamon running all through it. I haven’t tried anything I didn’t like yet! And that’s a problem 😆 I always find extra donut holes in my bag too which I think is so sweet. Great place! I highly recommend!

I moved to Charlotte in 2022 and have been slowly making my way through all the non chain donut shops and MJs is the best I've found. The donuts are always fresh. The cake donuts and yeast rings are both great. They definitely aren't from frozen. Go early for the most variety!

If you haven't been here before, you're missing out. Really really great donuts. Locally owned spot and the donuts are fresh and flavorful. You can tell they use quality ingredients and really care. The donut holes are simultaneously soft and crispy in the best way.

Best yeast donuts in the world. Get there early, it’s worth it. So many filled donuts— Boston crème, lemon, strawberry and more. And if you buy enough, they might throw in a doggy bag of the best donut holes you’ve ever had. Cake donuts rule too, try the sour cream.
