Great selection of hats and shoes . Great service.! We also went in to buy 1 hat and ended up buying 2. Father and son very interesting to talk to. Really listened to what my husband liked and didn't like. They were even able to size the hat if needed.
I was floored at first sight! They have a massive inventory of quality hats. I went in and tried a few on. I settled on a very sharp straw fedora by Carlos Santana. They even gave me 10% off. Good people and great service. A++++!!!!
Any kind of hat I can want, I can find it at Mitchell's. He's always got an excellent selection of shirts and ties, shoes, and he's got a few suits for the man who really wants to leave well dressed. The prices are first rate. I'll always travel from Roanoke to see Mr. Mitchell for a hat before I go online.
So a guy walks into a hat store and tells the guy, I have a problem with hats. They don’t seem to fit me, or my head. Nice fella replies, it’s because you have hair. Long story short, Joe and I spent a bit of time finding just the right hat for my situation. His father yelled from the back which one he preferred on me from the get. We went back and forth, and I settled on a wide brim Panama for all the wrong reasons which we won’t discuss. I used my own asinine reasoning and didn’t listen to a man that has been in that store for 81 years. 4 hours later I’m headed back to get the one Mr. Mitchell suggested. We talked for a long time the first go round. We talked even longer when I returned for an exchange. Do what they suggest and spend the money for a better hat. This is one of my favorite places on the planet now.

Customer service...good just two old white men with less understanding if you like different things than they sell they put my back problems on my shoes when I have s spinal fusion from a car accident. If you like hole in the wall shacks with good quality clothing this place is for you. They have an excellent selection of Stacy Adams shoes ...didn't really pay attention to what else they have I know they sell items by Kangol. My wife had bought me a pair of shoes without telling me and oops got the wrong size and for that type of shoe you really need try them on anyway. I got a pair that fit and left I'm not really a fan of old white men who think they know better than you do what you NEED! It's a tightly packed store which I'm not really into anyway.
If you want men's hats or clothing, this is the spot. Only place around that you can find men's hats.
Went to buy my first fedora. I knew I wanted a true hat store and not some cheap wool one from Target for my first one. The gentleman was extremely friendly, and patient with me. He worked to find the right style hat that fit my face and head shape, as well as color that worked with me. It felt like I was at Olivanders Wands, as he searched through the hundreds of hats pulling out the right ones every time. At the end of the day, I got a very nice Stetson, at a very good price with an overwhelmingly positive experience. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a quality hat.
