Mitchell Dog Park - Dog park in Tempe - S Mitchell Dr & 9th St, USA

We had a great time at Mitchell Park and enjoyed the brand new playground!! Thanks to the Tempe residents who supported the parks and recreation bond, who made this update possible! One thing is I would like them to have the restrooms open to the public. Usually they seem to be closed. It may be because the school is run separately.

Nice park where everyone's unleashed dog was friendly and the owners were mindful of their pet. Street parking and various no parking areas made it awkward and difficult to figure out where to park. Felt very safe and well maintained.

Great dog park. It's pretty small area compared to other dog pakrks we've visited but plenty of space for dogs to run around and get tired. Its only one area for small & big dogs. A couple of trees and benches for shade.

Great park! It feature a full size soccer park, fenced in dog park, two basketball courts, two sands volleyball nets, fun playground with swings, concrete walking paths, multiple ramadas, plenty of benches, beautiful mature mesquite trees, and even a couple of skate parks! All nestled in a quiet neighborhood. This is the perfect place to to unwind with some lunch, bring a sketchbook, or just take in some nature with your feet in some grass!

Decent sized dog park for the area. I wish the grass was softer, it seems mostly dead. Also there's a lot of dog poop left on the ground.

These dig parks need to monitor and protect those dogs from being left at these parks by owners. Dog parks are not fitted to care for abandoned animals,there no monitors at these parks. Camera should be at these parks to prevent animal cruelty and abuse

Great dog park - huge spread out space, well maintained green turf, couple of picnic tables for seating, lots of trees for shade, one garbage can in the corner of the park. The water fountain needs maintenance and doesn’t work except one facet on the side for dogs. No drinking water for humans though. Bunch of friendly dogs and humans! Overall nice park.

Dog parents do not clean up behind their pets. Also, there are a few aggressive dogs regularly at the park. Last time, I was there, 3 people and myself left because our dogs were being attacked. The aggressive dogs were able to have the park all to himself. I found another park close by so far, so it's good clean, and everyone seems to get along
