Misty Harbor Barefoot Beach Resort - Featured Reviews (159)
We booked a room to attend the venue next door. We received a phone call the day before the concert and our date of stay, to let us know that due to staffing shortages, they would not be able to clean our room. We let them know that we did not even need the room until late, but we were met with an unwavering refusal and a cancellation of our room with a refund. Very unprofessional and poor planning by the facility. Additionally, when I asked for the next closest place to stay, they neglected to even mention a very nice place right down the street that I found myself....
The room was bright in the morning even with the blinds closed. The bathroom is very small and the tub/shower is dark.
Nice place. Units are owned and rented. Management does a decent job. All of the units are clean. All 25 of us have no complaints. The location is perfect for the beach, fun and shopping. We may be back for a future reunion.
I fully reccomend booking thru Misty Harbor Resorts and NOT Vacasa.. It is the perfect location if your going to a concert at the NH Pavillion!! The beach is beautiful and super clean! Everyone there was so helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back again next year!!
Stayed in one of the rooms through VRBO, and it was awesome! The room itself had just enough space for 2-3 people in the single bedroom option and the deck that it came with as well was perfect! While the pool and hot tub were under construction, we visited the small beach which was a short walk from the room which was perfectly sized with a good amount of picnic tables and grills for some early season grilling. The views of the white mountains and Mt.Washington contributed to the overall ambience to the resort. I would highlighy recommend a stay here and will hopefully be back!
we had a 2 bedroom unit #308.
i booked it based on such wonderful reviews, but our experience was totally opposite. The condo was not cleaned when we checked in, it smelled & the patio was covered with spider webs. The blankets and bed covers, and pillows needed a good wash and the carpet was dirty and dusty. when asked for housekeeping the following days they said they are short staffed. i literally asked for clorox wipes and vacuum cleaner so that i can do it my self. the fridge was very dirty and the keurig coffee maker had a stinky old water which seemed was never cleaned. The people working in the resort were nice and the beach and the lake are very pleasant, but the resort (or they should not even call themselves a resort) seems to be really outdated.
We stayed here to attend a concert at the Pavilion which is almost next door. That's the only good thing I can say. We checked in and dropped off our luggage and went to dinner before the concert. We returned to the resort just in time to walk to the concert. It wasn't until after the concert which was about 11:00 pm that we actually checked out the room. The resort says there is a whirlpool tub but there was not. There was a tub that ONCE was a whirlpool but the jets had all been blocked off and covered. There were tv's in the bedroom and living room - neither of which worked. There was a remote for the a/c but it didn't have batteries. The microwave was impossible to figure out how to operate and trust me I know how to operate a microwave. I've never seen one that had the controls BEHIND the door so you couldn't select anything with the door closed and there were no instructions. There was a comforter and pillows stuffed between the head of the bed and the wall and since there wasn't a headboard on the bed, our pillows kept falling back in the space where the stuff was crammed on the floor. The chairs on the balcony were falling apart. Since the office was closed and there was no phone number posted to contact there was nothing we could do but wait until morning to report these issues which we did. The desk clerk seemed surprised at all our issues and told us that the units are individually owned and she had no idea of the problems. We were contacted a few days later by the general manager who apologized for the condition of the property and offered us a free night in the future which I politely refused. No other remedy was offered. Parking for the concert venue is only $15 and would be well worth it to stay anywhere else!
We went here for a weekend away with the family. It was super concerned because of the mixed reviews but enjoyed our stay immensely! The staff was so nice and accommodating, & I met the cutest little pug in the lobby! We got to swim use the sauna and the hot tub! It wasn't too crowded because of the time of year we went. The little apartment we rent it was the perfect size for my husband myself and our two little girls. The only thing wrong is the bed that we slept in, my husband and I was extremely hard and uncomfortable. But my girls bed was super soft! We will be back :-)
Gun stock has always been one of my favorite mountains. Very user friendly with many different types of terrait's easy to get to from just about anywhere. Ticket prices are through the roof everywhere, but gunstalk seems to be. A bit lower than a de
Such a pretty beach! We went on a weekday and the beach was well groomed and not busy at all. There's a nice, good size playground for the kids. Bathrooms are well maintained and outhouses available if after hours. I need to frequent this state park
Holy cow this park is beautiful! One of the highlights of the area. The view is just breathtaking. Pictures only give a taste but certainly don't do it justice.
Decided to come here for lunch. Docked the boat right in front of the restaurant. The place has a great atmosphere and offers a variety of sandwiches. Canât beat a view on the water. Service was great!
I ordered the pork belly sandwich and it was
Friendly service, the food tasted great. The salad was fresh. Good portions. The restaurant itself was super clean and welcoming. I will most definitely be back.
