This was my second time eating at Shirley's. I'm not from the area but will make sure to visit as often as I can. It never disappoints. The staff are friendly and very accommodating to any food allergies. I had the pancakes and a bloody mary. Everything was delicious and I look forward to coming again!
Very cool vibe—great friendly and attentive service. They nail the pancake—light airy and heavenly texture. Coffee was also great. The only strange subpar item was the bacon. I expected a much better and thicker piece of bacon. I wish I’d gotten a better picture to show the thickness but it’s a go-hum standard cut that comes in a normal pack you but at Safeway. It tasted good but I expected more given how they wow you with all the other menu items. Take the bacon you get a Iron Rooster—thick and structured and substantial—it’s a bacon you mention to others afterwards.
Great food. The Hot Mess Scramble was awesome. The coffee was flavorful, nice and hot served in heavy mugs that retained the heat. The staff were attentive, polite and key to me knowledgeable about dietary restrictions. Truly a rare gem hitting 100 % on all fronts.
Wanted to try because they had really good reviews and the menu looked good. I had the gravy train skillet and my wife had the coconut cream French toast. The skillet was not the best I’ve ever had but worth trying. The French toast was really rich. The coconut cream overpowered the French toast. More like a dessert than breakfast. Little overrated would be my take.
Probably the best breakfast I’ve ever had! We stopped in for a meal on a day trip to Annapolis, and it was the highlight of our day. Crab omelette was exceptional and blueberry pancakes lived up to their reputation of “best in the country!” Service was wonderful! We can’t wait to go back!
So good! Shirley's crush and gingerbread french toast have me feeling down right festive. The server asked up front about allergies and cross contamination. It made me worry WAY less about being a person with food allergies eating in a new place.
OMG this place is amazing! You know how a movie gets hyped up and when you actually see it you're like "Meh, it was alright." Well, this place lived up to everything. Just "Wow!" From the oversized French Toast to the amazing breakfast sandwiches... Be careful that you don't go into a food coma. They give you a lot.
We watched the DDD Food Network show and were super excited to try the coconut stuffed French toast and eggs Benedict. Unfortunately, both disappointed. The French toast was not crisp on the outside and the challah bread was so thick that the inside was tough and dry. The filling was hot and overpowering. We actually scraped it to the side and ended up eating only a small bit of it. The menu said the eggs Benedict were served on a lump crab cake but that was not the case. There was lump crab mixed in with the vegetables, but plain crab meat doesn't share the same flavor and texture as an actual crab cake. We were very underwhelmed. On a bright note, our service from Star was great, but we won't be back.
One of my favorite restaurants in the world and no doubt that itâs the BEST in Annapolis or all of Maryland. Holds its own against spots in NYC or Chicago. So intimate, unique each time but with staples that you can count on (get the butterscotch p
I had my first dining experience this evening. I was skeptical at first, but left surprised and impressed. The owner Scott knows his trade and clients well enough to deliver good food. The lunches his team made for the Hospice Cup race committee team
One of the best meals Iâve had from a restaurant in a long time! The owners were extremely friendly and the service was fast and efficient. This might be one of my new favorite spots in Annapolis! Locally owned too by a wife and husband too! Canâ
I love EIF! I joined last March and have continued to build strength, improve my energy, and feel much healthier. Their methodology is so effective and safe. The trainers are all extremely knowledgeable, professional, and supportive. I mostly wor
It's easy to miss this lovely, locally sourced restaurant, but you shouldn't. They have a great selection of food and drink and excellent service. My server, Ella, gave me great guidance, and I wasn't disappointed in a single thing I ordered. It seem

The BEST workout, instructors and facility!! The music is the best - itâs real music you hear on the radio, and the movements are choreographed to the music but simple to learn. Great cardio and strength workouts. Different class formats. High
I LOVE this bookstore. It is so cute and has a great variety of books. The coffee bar made delicious lattes and there was just so much to explore. If I was a local, Iâd come to all their events!
So proud of our beautiful Governor's Mansion. Always a pleasure to be welcomed, I had not been inside since being a Commissioner, on the Governor of Maryland's Commission for Hispanic Affairs (back in the day). Was super happy to catch up with Govern
Staff and servers were great. Nice quiet booth in the back. Perfect dinner for two. All of the food was delicious. Ribeye Steak with crab meat was so good and cooked perfectly. All of the sides, even ordered at half sizes were more than enough.
Warm and cozy, I had a decaf cappuccino. Not enough seats indoors for the five of us so we sat outside and discovered their most amazing secret garden. I look forward to returning on a warm sunny day to sip coffee and read a book there.
We saw White Christmas - not an exact duplicate of the movie, which was a nice surprise. The acting and singing were on point and entertaining. The bar had many options. The theater was a bit chilly but it was a fun night!
We did a self-guided tour of the campus. Informative Visitor Center, beautifully maintained grounds and buildings. The Chapel and the Cript are a must visit part of the campus. There is a museum at the site, but we did not visit.
