First of all: pay no attention to any review written before August 2023; that's when the new owners took over. This place is spectacular a down to earth quiet way -super clean rooms with simple shaker furniture and high ceilings. Wonderful deck and the host will light up the fire pit for you. I didn't know how complete the breakfast was till we got there - I'm and eggs and sausage full hot breakfast person. It was excellent, croissants, bagels, toast waffles, omelettes, excellent sausage, oj and etc...I'm not sure their web site indicates that it is a fill breakfast. The new owner, Eric, was very nice and personable. We will be going back in late February. Plus there is a zen room with a full wall mirror that I could do tai chi in; that was really a surprise. I've been all over the world as a musician and this was a really top shelf experience. My wife and I loved it.
My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Minnewaska Lodge in Gardiner, NY, and our experience was absolutely delightful. The awe-inspiring views of the Shawangunk Mountains provided a breathtaking backdrop, and the hiking trails allowed us to immerse ourselves in the beauty and wonders of nature. Our room at the lodge was exceptionally spacious, and the bed and pillows ensured a restful and comfortable stay. The continental breakfast offered a satisfying and delicious start to our days. We found great joy not only in the warm hospitality and engaging conversations with Eric but also in savoring his delectable homemade croissants. Overall, our time at the Minnewaska Lodge was truly relaxing and memorable, thanks to the splendid surroundings, comfortable accommodations, and the delightful touches of hospitality of the staff.
We hadn’t been here in years, and we had a lovely stay. Eric, our host, is so welcoming and creates such a festive atmosphere. The breakfast spread is fantastic, something for everyone. And his three adorable (and quiet and well behaved) bull dogs are a great addition. I believe people can bring their own well-behaved pets with them to the lodge.||Unfortunately I had a family emergency during my stay, and Eric was incredibly kind and helpful. ||Highly recommended! Book directly with the lodge so they don’t have to pay 15% to the booking sites.
Stayed here for 2 nights over Thanksgiving. The staff was so hospitable and created a professional yet family type atmosphere. A complimentary thanksgiving feast was included and we were got to dine with the staff and other lodge guests. ||The staff also provided complimentary breakfast each morning. During my stay, our host Eric went out of his way to bake the most delicious homemade croissants made with French butter! Reminded me of Paris! ||We also took advantage of the hiking trail on the premises in the morning. Great for beginner hikers who want some fresh air and the be around nature. If you’re looking for a more intense hiking experience, the Lodge is a short drive from Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Preserve. ||All in all I had a great experience and definitely plan to come back for another nice, relaxing weekend with friends and/or family!
I stayed in the suite with two others using a rollaway bed. The main bed was a large king size and the rollaway was a double size. The room has a fireplace. The room was always toasty and warm, even in the cooler weather. ||The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Eric, the Innkeeper, was the nicest person. He prepared a hot breakfast every morning and also prepared the most delicious Thanksgiving dinner. ||After some very stressful months, this is what we needed to relax and gain a renewed strength.
I had the pleasure of staying at the Minnewaska Lodge, and it was an absolute delight. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere that enveloped me. The innkeeper, Eric, goes above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels like a valued friend rather than just another traveler passing through. The personal touch provided by Eric and his team truly sets the Minnewaska Lodge apart. From personalized recommendations for local attractions to ensuring that my stay was comfortable and memorable, their dedication to their guests is evident in every interaction. The lodge's location is a nature lover's dream come true. The secluded nature trails that wind through the surrounding wilderness are nothing short of spectacular. Whether you're an avid hiker or just looking for a peaceful stroll, these trails offer a serene escape into nature. One of the highlights of my stay was the multiple fire pits scattered around the property. I spent evenings under the starry sky, gathered around the fire, making new friends and sharing stories. It's a unique and memorable experience that added to the sense of community and warmth that defines the Minnewaska Lodge. Last but certainly not least, let's talk about the breakfast. The morning spread at the lodge is a culinary delight. The delicious, homemade breakfast options served in a cozy dining area make for the perfect start to your day. In summary, the Minnewaska Lodge is a hidden gem that offers an unforgettable, personalized experience. The personal touch provided by Eric and the friendly staff, the secluded nature trails, the inviting fire pits, and the fantastic breakfast make it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a rejuvenating escape in the heart of nature. My stay here was nothing short of exceptional, and I can't wait to return.
My wife and I wanted to hike in the area and visit interesting New Paltz. The Inn is ideally located for both. We were a little concerned re previous reviews on the breakfast, but with the new innkeeper it was delicious and tastefully varied. The rooms (we invited our adult son to join us) were very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We look forward to our next stay
Ive been coming to the lodge almost every year since it was built. The new owners are by far, the nicest and the most friendly. The lodge is clean, quiet, relaxing, and warm. The rooms are all well maintained sized perfectly and very accommodating. And The Breakfast buffet and great coffee overlooking the gunks or a night-time fire pit in the back, is the best. Already booked another stay in a few months.
This was a fun park to visit! The guides were incredibly helpful, and the trails were well maintained. The carriage road was a such a lovely sight to see after those stair master steps! We had a wonderful visit!
You guys donât know whatâs the local food yet in upstate. This place only uses local farm product, which first time I could say the difference of the freshness. Highly recommend to try this place. Forgot what fish but look at the size. Especial
Went for lunch and ate outside. Nice large patio with comfy seats. Portions were huge & prices very reasonable. We all took home leftovers. Waitress was great and was able to provide separate checks for our party of 7. .
Our stay was wonderful. The staff was attentive and always available when we had questions. We had a little birthday party for our son on his 7th birthday. We invited some of the staff and other campers who celebrated with us and we had cake. He w
