Minneapolis Southwest KOA Holiday - Featured Reviews (426)
Great place for our 2 night stay. Nice and quiet away from the highway.
Only issue is that they have not prepped the sites with enough rock to level them and create drainage for the rain (which it does frequently) and our site had mud pits. All of our water, power and sewer connections were coated in mud and had to be cleaned to put them away. A little more rock and level grading would have gone a long way in making this a much better experience.
Stayed one night on our way to ND. Have stayed in many KOA campgrounds & this was our worst experience. I thought KOA had a standard. The site was a gravel driveway across from the pool. We were facing our neighbours sewer connection. Hardly enough room to extend our awning. The shower curtain in the women's shower was stained & moldy. The fellow on the desk was in such a hurry to get off shift he didn't take the time to tell us where to dump our garbage. Traffic noise from highway was non stop. I would not recommend this KOA.
We got in last minute when another camp ground cancelled due to flooding.
The sites were easily accessible and good sized.
Recommend bringing extra sewer lone because the hook up will be near the end and a regular size won't reach.
The staff was all so kind! We had fun on the hayride and planting plants too! Kids loved movies and bingo too.
Indoor pool was perfect for the rainy day, but wish the pool deck was cleaned more often.
The entire facility was clean and well maintained. The staff was super friendly and truly enjoyed interacting with our kiddos and appeared to enjoy what they do. The location was off a busy road but with all the trees the noise was minimal. It was nicely located with easy access to lots of places!
Stayed there June 21-24, 2024. The location is great, being very close to the Twin Cities. Overall the facilities were very good, though the sites were a bit close together Unfortunately, it had been very rainy the week before we arrived and continued to rain while we were there. Woke up after a rainy night and found our camper surrounded by 2 inches of water! Happened again the next day. It was pretty obvious to me that the site regularly flooded in the rain. When I complained about it to the person on duty, I was met with the equivalent of a shrug and was told they couldn't do anything about it. Then in a possibly (possibly not) related event, my KOA account went offline as the email address was changed somehow and I couldn't log in to leave a review!? When I finally sorted it out, it was too late to leave a review. I have been a KOA member for over 15 years and have never experienced this. To say the least, I was unhappy when I left!
We camped at this KOA because of softball games going on. Campground was very nice but a little small. The sites were fairly large, the pull through had little patios. We did lose power two nights for two hours each night because of something happening on the outside of the ground though. During the week they have nothing going on and during the weekends, they had a rock painting, and also they so-called hayrides around the campground. Nice heated pool, very clean bathrooms and shower areas.
Great location, just 20 minute drive to Minneapolis, will be really nice once construction is done on the main highway. Very friendly staff.
The pool and playground was fun for the family. Wifi and full hookups worked well. Nice, quiet, clean campground overall.
I'm not going to take a star off for it because it did not affect my trip, but the spaces are a bit short. I have a 30-ft rv pulling a small car behind and it was a tight fit. I saw others with longer setups having a bit of a time fitting. But the staff was there to help them navigate and I had to ask a fellow camper to help me make the turn out of my site when I was leaving because everyone takes up the full length of space.
I love this as a first time out and last camping trip of the year. New management has been putting in updates. Love the indoor pool but can get chilly. They have tractor rides. In fall they have big trick or treating event that is so much fun. I love the bingo and crafts they had for mothers day. The new play set awesome addition. Staff is always amazing! My kids love the bikes but they are extra. I wish minni golf was still free since it is outdated.
The couple who runs the bed and breakfast are so friendly! They have created a wonderful atmosphere in this home, and you can tell they put so much thought and care into every detail in managing the mansion. The breakfast is delicious, and they are f
What a fun place, we stopped in for a night cap and it was such a fun crowd. The bartender made me a colorado bulldog and used Bailey's instead of cream! It was awesome!
A fun course with a lot of character. A few holes on the front and back are pretty open, while the majority are across the street and more wooded. Overall a fun course and very scenic.
Driving range and putting green are kept well. The range buckets
