DO NOT FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS! Google directions have you make a wrong turn and there is signage that says "YOUR GPS IS WRONG!" We a totally laughed a lot our kids were dying. It is about 165 stairs up. It is worth the 165 step climb! I forget where it was reviewed somewhere it said 50 stairs nope not true. Some of the stairs have very big landings, it's a fairly wide stair case. You have room to stop if you need to. Immediately at the top of the stairs there's a bench to rest a bit. Then the waterfall is just up a little further with a bridge.
We got to see these waterfalls when it was very cold, so the falls were frozen! 160+ steps and a very short hike to these beautiful falls and creek. Waterfalls are over 100ft high.
We got extremely lucky to find this place. There was a gentleman on a previous trail who asked if we loved waterfalls. I said, "Of course!" He showed us pictures and a video of Mingo Falls and provided directions on how to get there. Usually, that's how horror movies start, but this was well worth the side trip! The GPS is wrong! There is actually a sign in the neighborhood that says so (Google, take notes!). Just keep going straight in that section, and it's not that far off! Certainly worth the 160 steps to see this awesome waterfall. Check it out!
A 0.4 mile trek that has never felt longer. Prepare yourself for a slightly strenuous climb as this trail is mostly stairs all the way up to the base of the falls. Overall, it isn’t a bad hike unless you are unprepared for the climb. Would highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.
Beautiful waterfall! Be prepared to climb a lot of stairs but worth the climb. Use hiking shoes because the terrain at some points becomes a challenge.
Great walk up about 157 steps. Beautiful waterfall. My grandchildren love going here. No fees.
Big beautiful Fall that has 161 stairs. It's not too bad, if you stop & rest a few times. Definitely worth making the climb
Mingo Falls is located in Cherokee, North Carolina and is an absolute beauty! Super easy to find & the parking area has about 10 spots with several porta pottys available. Theres additional pull off spots outside of the main parking area.
You will climb 160 steps right out of the gate & then a very short walk to the bridge. Once you are on the bridge, the waterfall is there. It is stunning, I was speechless both times I have visited. A definite must see!!

These were the best cared for, healthiest horses that I have ever seen on a trail ride. Absolutely gorgeous! Our guides Heather & Asiah were awesome. It was really nice that they had plenty of staff to help people mount & dismount both at the stable
At first we almost missed the Mountain Farm Museum. It is adjacent to the Visitorâs Center, almost behind it. It was very interesting seeing the old farm buildings and what life was like. The structures are well preserved with signs describing the

We attended the last show of the season. The acting is not the best you will ever see but it was a great show over all. It was like watching an old western movie. The story was awesome and gave you a true appreciation for the area and its people. I w
