Really neat place. I was impressed with the different geodes I saw. They were so beautiful. The fluorescent light exhibit and demonstration was really cool too!
The admission is free, and the street parking is free for the first 30 mins, but you have to use your phone to link your tag to the parking zone. I don’t want to share too many pictures so I don’t spoil it for anyone, but I would recommend coming here if you’re in the area. The staff was very kind and helpful. I could sit and stare at some of these pieces for a while. Good thing they don’t have seating 😂
I enjoyed this small but very educational museum. The admission is FREE but they accept donations. There are awesome displays of different gems, crystals, fossils, petrified wood, shark teeth and fluorescent gems. You can purchase geodes and split them right there! Absolutely stunning collection on display.
Nice museum. It was free to enter. My son loved the fossils and gemstones they had displayed. We were able to see them opening a geode for another customer. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend it to those who like gemstones and fossils.
I would highly suggest anyone visit this museum if they have any interest at all in rocks and minerals or fossils! This has been my go-to stop for a rock and mineral shopping haul for two years since I finally discovered its existence (long overdue)! The volunteers are always so friendly and helpful. They are knowledgeable and passionate about the exhibits and they are very kind about helping you with any purchases you make while at the museum. There are so many things to see here although the museum is small so please don’t be discouraged by the appearance of the room when you first enter! Take in everything! Each piece is incredible in its own right and they really take pride in everything they display. Also… you cannot beat the prices here. I LOVE buying way too many rocks and minerals for my own good because I know I’m getting an absolute steal. So take the trip, take a chance, whatever you need to do, it’s worth it to go into this museum!!!
This is an awesome "hidden gem" in downtown Hendersonville. The volunteers here were so friendly and knowledgeable. We learned so much during our short visit. The highlight for me as a lifelong dinosaur lover was their skull cast of an adult Tyrannosaurus Rex.
This is a really nice visit to a really nice museum with different stones that are from so many different countries. This is a really inspiring place.
The guides are very informative!
What a great experience! Apple Festival crowds and they still did a great job! Cant wait to come back and do it again. The staff were excellent and happy to help/explain everything. Geode splitting is the best!
Rocks are cool! Lots to look at. You can buy a geode and they will break it open. No admission fee just donations. Very nice people.

This is a neat area to walk around especially when there is a market. We did not visit the Depot, but it looked fun, and we saw children in there having a merry time. There are several little shops in the area that you can pop into and also some rest
Helpful folks aided me in my research, helped me identify a lead that led to a big breakthrough I was looking for for months. Great displays, good collection of books in gift shop, and knowledgeable folks.
I love these candles and lotions! I mean I love all of the products but our house smells amazing and the lotion is so smooth after a shower. Would definitely recommend!

Busy little sandwich shop with a robust menu offering. Staff was friendly despite the overwhelming amount of customers in restaurant and waiting. Food was fresh. Located in downtown Hendersonville, metered street parking available.
Our visit to the Apple Valley Railroad Club was fantastic! The train exhibition was impressive with various scenes. My son loved the interactive fair/carnival area, operating the trains, and spotting familiar buildings in the replica of downtown Hend
