This was one of my favorite days on vacation! The beach was clean, the scenery gorgeous with clear water and lushes greenery. There's food, restrooms, parking was easy, and even a place to rinse your feet. There was also a lifeguard on duty and lots of families enjoying themselves. It was the perfect first beach day for our 2 year old. Highly recommend a visit to Million Dollar Beach.
I was on the fence about coming here, was not sure it was worth it. It was way more beautiful than I thought. My kids loved it. My son was in the water for hours. The sand is soft and water clear. beautiful view. place to wash sand off feet. heads up - The food stand is CASH only. This was the most relaxing day we had all week.
Small beach. Water is great. there is rope boundary in the water for kids and adults right in front of the life guard. Gets pretty deep in places so be careful. Not sure why this place has a 10$ parking fee. If you can park in the street and save money parking fee.
Nice clean beach with a beautiful view. We got there when it opened at 10am and by noon it was pretty busy for a monday. Good time overall.
Definitely get there early for a good spot. But you are not allowed in the water till 10:00am or after depending on when the life guard is ready. There are 3 sections and each has a lifeguard. The lifeguard for our section wasn't "ready" till after 10:30. The beach is clean and the bathrooms are nice. It was super crowded but the time we left at noon.
There is a $10 parking fee to get access to the beach. But considering the location and the inconvenience of parking at any other place in this area, $10 is well worthy. However, the beach amenities are all closed and out service. There are no showers (can you imagine?) no running water to rinse the sand off your feet and, on top of everything, they close the bathrooms and locker rooms 30 minutes before the beach is closed (beach is closed by 6:00 pm). In addition, for some bizarre reason, the city of Lake George, thought that implementing a fence barrier around the beach was a great idea for social distance. Now it looks like a prison in Alcatraz (I am not kidding!). Once inside the beach, around 4:45 pm the lifeguards make an announcement that a section of the beach is closed and off limits to all the children wading in it. There is no explanation given as to why they do it. (unless, of course, they are trying to go home early). It was aggravating for many people and families at the beach. This was our first visit to Lake George, and unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. They need to improve the experience by removing the fence immediately, open the bathroom showers and keep the beach open until closing time.
Fantastic place for picnic and vacations. Water is clean and beach is little rough surface with small stone. If you are luck enough you may see music festival beside the beach. Steam boat origin point is hardly 100 feet from beach.
Million reasons to go somewhere else (part 2) We go to the beach to clear our heads, get away from everyday life and have fun. This beach has a lot of potential but is unfortunately run by wokes. The facilities are superb, the building is well equipped (toilet, shower, locker) the sand is fine, the water is clean, the view of the lake and mountains is splendid, but the lifeguards are very nervous, always whistling. The supervised section is very small and an adult can only swim up to his navel, not in the deep end. You can't swim outside the buoys, or you'll get whistled at and warned with the megaphone! On the beach and in the water: no ball games! No flotation devices, no alcohol, $10 parking, cash-only canteen $12.99 US for 2 hot dogs and a french fries, no beverage included. Vegetarian burger only. I prefer other beaches to this one, which is much too regulated!
My family and I absolutely LOVED this place. The owners Felix and Diana were so kind and accommodating. Our cabin, the pool, and the grounds were all immaculate. Our two-bedroom cabin was equipped with everything we needed for a peaceful and relaxing
I came up to Lake George for my birthday and had a wonderful stay at the inn. It's a great location- you are within walking distance of the lake, so no need to deal with street parking. Elizabeth and Brady were very welcoming, the rooms were spotless
My one night last minute escape to Lake George was amazing thanks to our server Sarah at my wine tasting at Adirondack Winery. I had such an experience with the 7 wine & 1 premium. My favorite which I renamed is the Beachside Bubbly *B!+â¬h yes I ad
A very interesting spot in Lake George. You can definitely hear an echo if you stand in the middle of the circle and yell. Strangely, people standing around cannot hear the echo. The spot also depicts a nice drawing of Lake George. There is also a lo
