A superb experience dining here. The food is incredibly good for the price! I got the Nashville chicken tenders and let me tell you, be ready for the heat! It sneaks up on you. The first couple tenders are hot but by the time you’re done you’re drying and dabbing your eyes. The fries are awesome! My wife got the lobster bisk and she enjoyed it. Highly recommend the Devils Backbone Vienna Lager!
I really wanted to love Miller’s Downtown but I only liked it. The food was good, but the chicken on the spicy chicken breast sandwich was tiny. It was also listed on the menu as 14.49 but our server rang it up different which ended up being more expensive so I didn’t love that. The service also wasn’t the best, but I think that was due to being short staffed so no knock on the server as she was busy but it’s frustrating to run out of beer and wait 15 minutes for someone to ask if you want another one. Either way, was told it was a Charlottesville’s staple, so I am happy I checked it out.
Had the jalapeño peppers as appetizer, hot chicken and waffle and Dave’s Reuben for entrees. We love the little story they have for Dave’s Reuben on the menu and it was such good Reuben. I would even say that I love it more than the chicken tenders that everyone is so crazy about. Didn’t like the waffle—it’s fried and for me it’s too greasy.
The wings and fries were so good ‼️ will definitely be retuning . Perfect for a late night meal 🍽️
Wife had the fried green tomato salad and I had the French toast breakfast with bacon potatoes and fruit, we finished with a huge slice of key lime pie. We loved this place. The food and staff were great. Definitely a cool place to visit especially if you love Dave Matthews band.
Fabulous burgers.. try the Miller double double (double meat and cheese). The Rueben is on the menu because Dave Matthews pestered them… He also got his start here. Great beer selection and atmosphere is everything.. and their fries being crunchy makes me love this place too.. i’ll be back often!❤️
