Classic dishes always executed perfectly. Everything is cooked in their open kitchen on the hearth, the wood fired heat and the cast iron beneath each dish means the quality of the ingredients shine. They’re masters of their work, do pay them a visit in this casual, easygoing family run space. It’s rare to find this level of attention to detail anymore.

Been here quite a few times for dinner. The staff and owners are very polite and friendly. Food is always excellent. The duck is my favorite. Drinks are good as well. I would recommend making a reservation because it is on the smaller side so it fills up quick.

I give it one star because of attitude from the female proprietor, Dominika. She is rude! First, she took a long time to take our order because she was too engrossed in discussing the dessert with the customers seated directly next to us. The establishment charges a 4% service fee if using the common plastic currency. It’s extortion. Businesses write off those fees on income taxes. My husband attempted to make reservation 2 days in advance where he had to leave a message. No one returned the call. I then called next day and was able to make the reservation. It never occurred to me to mention the first attempt. My husband finally gets the returned call the day after. Dominika became irate on the phone because she said my husband should’ve canceled that reservation instead of taking responsibility for not confirming it! Dominika then told my husband to not bother making future reservations because of an obvious misunderstanding. Let me say, her wish is our command! There are plenty of other restaurants we can take our business where it will be appreciated with a smile. And, the pricing is way overpriced. Our total meal with 15% gratuity was $127.93. We adjusted gratuity for the service fee. We will not pay it anywhere!

Awful service but decent food. Waited about 35 minutes just to order, appetizers took about another 45 minutes, after two hours my party got up and left because the entrees still had not arrived. Servers and host were incredibly rude and defensive, did nothing to acknowledge how poorly they were doing and got testy/angry when we asked when our food was coming and why every step of the meal had taken so long. I must say what little food we did receive was good, but it was only a few apps so I don’t know if the entrees would’ve been any good. Never go here when it’s even remotely busy because they will forget about you and get mad when you point it out. I’ll never be coming back.

We’ve been coming to this glorious restaurant, the last seven years and Dominika and her chef husband are outstanding servers and chefs. The food is not to be believed we don’t have anything like this in NYC right now—— when you are in Millbrook reserve at the Millbrook Cafe! Amazing! Truly.

Great food cooked in a wood fired oven, fantastic drinks and super friendly staff. Love it!

$30.00 for a piece of chicken breast that weighed about 6oz and the size of a cookie. What the “H” happened? Excellent food Use to get 1/2 of chicken. Must have been a mistake! Eaten there dozen of times. Very disappointed and hungry! Shame on the # 1 reason you eat- not be hungry after a meal! Amazing culinary expertise, just disappointing portion! Being Millbrook your landlord must have raised the rent! Please rethink your portions, on this dish anyway! Your biz deserves to be in a better real estate environment. Lots of choices, people will follow you!

I went there for dinner with my mom for the first time. The dinner was great. The owner very nice lady was there to talk to you and help you with your order. The waiter Peter, very nice young man. The dinner was was very good. My mom , also enjoyed her dinner as well and also liked her cup of coffee. I give the Millbrook Cafe 5 Stars. Bob from Pleasant Valley, NY
