Mill House Lodge - Featured Reviews (210)
Quaint setting with so millhouse and lake with a relaxing view. Condos are different so experiences may differ. We had a very pleasant weeklong stay to enjoy restaurants and autumn foliage. Kitchen was well-equipted, furnishings were new and attractive, and bed was comfortable. It is a small space so I would not recommend for more than two people.
We look forward to staying here each year as we travel through on our way north or south. The rooms are reminiscent of vintage lake cottages. They are basic but comfortable and pristine as far as cleanliness. The millpond and sound of water are very relaxing. We always find something good to eat at local restaurants or grill something to have onsite. The area offers great drives, biking, hiking and interesting places to visit. If you want to venture a bit further, all of Asheville awaits!
It's so peaceful and beautiful. It's got a family-like atmosphere. The people are super friendly and quite amicable. No loud parties or groups of kids screaming the pool. It's exactly what i was hoping for. The rooms have definitely been used and they aren't five star hitel material but I was looking for other qualities and found it. Rarely stay in the room. Great little kitchenette. Definitely coming back again.
I really wish I could have given more stars, but the room was just so disappointing and caused an early end to our trip. No central AC, the beds were springy, the window AC unit wasn’t properly installed in the window, rooms have a slight smell. We ended up leaving a day early because we both slept so terribly. Breakfast was advertised upon check in but not provided when I went to get it, which made for a rough morning since I’m pregnant and my husband had taken the cad for a hike thinking I would have food to eat. The only reason it’s not less stars is because the setting is absolutely adorable. We loved the lake/pond, the pool, and the atmosphere. Very close to downtown. But the rooms were just awful. We won’t be back unless there is an update, which I hate to say because there is so much potential. I hope things changes so we can return but I’m not sure I would even be willing to risk it after how this stay went.
Stayed here in March 2017 in one of the rooms along the pond. Always when entering a hotel room and assessing the cleanliness I think - what would my grandma think? She would have loved it! Very clean, very nice. Rustic ambience was my favorite part, along with having my morning coffee on the deck! Will definitely come back.
Don't bother. It's quiet its had some updates. Pictures are very deceiving its really a pond not a lake. There are no working paddle boards only one and it is missing paddles. Canoes do not all have oars. The lady was very short answered and just stopped talking altogether to us when we ask about it. All the way down to we had to cover up our window with towels so people couldn't seen in. The blinds that had installed were new but it was not for this kind of window and it was permanently fixed not to raise or lower because of the window air conditioner. Absolutely not worth the bother. Its really a shame could be such a nice place. I have visit all kinds. I won't come back here. You can go somewhere else much nicer for these prices . Thanks for listening one here wanted to.
This place is awesome. Many lodge-type rooms, really nice. They've got an beautiful private lake with kayaks, canoes, and paddleboats with life jackets for guest use. All staff we've talked to are really nice and accommodating and genuinely seem to want you to have a great time. Oh, and we saw a white squirrel living in the tree right outside our room! Never seen a white one before! Too cool.
We have stayed her multiple times over the past couple of years and have loved every visit. The view of the lake from our room is worth the trip alone. I love sitting by the lake reading while the kids play and the fact that they provide canoes is fabulous. We just got home and are already planning our next visit.

Love, love this place. The salad and pizza is always what I get and they never disappoint. The wood-fire makes the pizza exceptionally tasty. I love the back deck as it's spacious and shady. I'll make a detour on a day trip just to go here. Their bre
This park is very nice! Has a good little walking or jogging trail not too long so you feel like you accomplish more. Lol, the toy part for the kids was cool. There were lots of things to keep busy. Has a restroom, but I didn't go in, but I'm sure it
What a cool place. You pay them to pick your own fruit. What a concept. But kidding aside, we picked Honey Crisp and you donât get any fresher. It was a fun family outing. They have lots of varieties but you should check ahead before going to make
