Pretty small compared to other hatcheries I've visited. It's wide open and you can walk around the ponds. Info boards at the entrance explain what they do. Worth the drive off the main road.
It was a fun experience. It was nice to look at the different animals and it was a place where I left thinking "I didn't take enough pictures". Also it was FREE and my 2 year old loved it.
This is probably best thought of as an extension of the Milford Nature Center. The raceways were very cloudy when I visited in April 2022 so it wasn't easy to see any fish. Perhaps things are different later in the season. The Nature Center has a very nice display of native fish - probably more worthwhile.

We went for the Bald Eagle presentation and it was great! Glad to see such a good turnout too. Then we went to the Marina on Lake Milford and got to see an eagle perched in the tree.
Update: went to yet another of their educational presentations about local animals, etc. Met their 2 year old opossum. The kids love it every time we are here. What a gem to have close to us!
