Midway Inn & Suites - Motel in Oak Lawn - 9320 S Cicero Ave, USA

We had to call for a room last minute in the midnight hours. This place was the only one available. However, I would not recommend staying there. We had no choice, the room we stayed in was for smokers, so it wreaked of the smell of smoke and I couldn't bear it but we had to relent considering the situation. In addition, the walls were thin and we could hear people on the other side of the room making very, how should I say, inappropriate sounds in the middle of the night waking us up with pounding on the walls. Needless to say, one star is giving them a compliment. Especially for the price of $109 a night.

Manager is very rude , from outta town this was a terrible place . Most of the staff is nice but it’s ONE RUDE black lady . She’s making it NEVER uncomfortable watching me and my FRIENDS.I would never go back to that motel . Kicking us out cause my FRIEND decides to sit in his car smh never again

This establishment was undergoing remodeling but it was not a great disturbance. My last two nights I stayed in one of the newly remodeled rooms and I loved the floors instead of the carpet floors. I prefer blinds over antique curtains, although curtains would help at night. Bring your toiletries! What's provided is insufficient but you can ask for additional. The rate that I made daily was consistent, and it was....meh! It depends on you. Overall, I felt safe when I was only and there were plenty of conveniences for shopping, dining, and service stations all in walking distance.

Positive: The ONLY good thing about the room I had was the location of the property. Negative: The room I paid for was nasty; mildew on/around the sink and faucet. The air conditioner vents were absolutely disgusting and the room had an odor. The TV was rigged so there was NO football games although this was Sunday. I would not stay here if the Negative: ""

The front staff were very friendly but those rooms are disgusting! Slippery floor, mattress feel like they should have been replaced years ago. I was observant hoping I didn't see a roach or any other bug. That's a place where you rent to change clothes only and not sleep.

The staff was very kind and courteous. Room wasn't bad at all. I only have 2 complaints about my stay. First complaint is the internet was horrible so entertainment was limited to regular TV. Also the jacuzzi was a bit small. Too small for two people to enjoy in my opinion. Other than that it was a nice stay.

It's an ok room. I'd stay here again mostly for the location because it's close to a family member but I wouldn't if I didn't have to. I kind of prefer motel 6. But it's decent and the bed was comfy. I like that it had a mini fridge with a freezer. Most places don't have one with a freezer. The shower water temperature fluctuates a little but not too bad.
