Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Raton - Hotel in Raton - 1640 Cedar St, USA

My room was clean, it had a comfortable bed, and the front desk lady was very helpful. It was nice that they offered breakfast, but it was mostly starches and a very limited selection. Other than that I was very pleased with my stay.

The location is the ONLY good thing about this hotel. Every single person at the front desk was rude. We had to wait 30 minutes to check out because no one was at the desk to give us a receipt. They had a sign that said "back in 5-10 minutes." I can give them that, but NOT 30. The breakfast was a joke. They were always out of coffee. They had waffles, apples, yogurt, bagels, and cereal. If you're reading this... you have other choices, take them!

The hotel was nice but they did not tell us about the work being done just next to our room so the hallway was extremely messy and the rooms being worked on had the doors propped open so it was quite loud! The staff was helpful and nice! We will definitely stay again if we find ourselves in Raton again.

We have stayed here twice over the last year as a stop on some long road trips. Easy, quick check in, check out. Great, helpful, friendly staff. Clean, comfortable, modern, reasonably priced. Restful stay.

The Microtel was a little hard to spot, set back on a side street just off I-25. Well-maintained appearance, 2-story motel. They appear to have a strict check-in policy (ownership issue?). Would not check you in until 3PM. ||My room upstairs was fine, but be aware they do not have an elevator to the 2nd floor. I was traveling light so not a problem. The room had a unique layout and some oddly placed mirrors, but was cool and quiet. There was not a single USB plug in the room, but luckily I had my charging adaptor. That ought to be corrected in today's electronic age. ||Breakfast is advertised as a free "Continental breakfast". They had a waffle maker, but there wasn't anything that appealed to me that particular morning. I'd consider them again, but there are a few areas for improvement.

Do not stay here!! Bed bugs! Got a two bed room and both beds were covered with bed bugs! Sheets were not washed and smelled Disgusting if I could give 0 stars I would

I've stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions in the past, but this time it appears it's not being taken care of and is in really bad shape - it looks very rundown. During my recent stay in room 219, the carpet in the hallways and in the room was filthy, so much so, that I did not want to walk around barefooted. Appears the carpet hasn't been shampooed in years - absolutely disgusting, which is also why I believe the room stunk. The A/C unit was also dirty, filled with all kinds of dust and debris and therefore I could not use it, which made for a very hot and uncomfortable night! Also, the toilet had a leak and so the tank kept refilling with water, which kept me awake most of the night. All in all, this is one of the worst hotel experiences I've had and therefore I will not be recommending your hotel to my family members and friends and certainly won't be stay there in the future.
