Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Owatonna - Featured Reviews (181)
Cozy room. With hot food breakfast! Like waffle maker, scrambled eggs and sausage! And could have a donut too. Best value we found during the Steele county Fair. Booked it 3 months before!
Good place but this is not a Microtel any more. It's a Quality Inn & Suites.
Only stay here as a last resort. The room didn't smell fresh at all. I question if they even changed the sheets after the last guest vacated. A huge piece of carpet was missing under the window. Bare foundation was completely exposed. No hot water in the morning for my shower. Old tube type TV. Small room. Felt like i was in a hostel. Microwave on the desk which left no room for actually doing any work at the desk. Guest laundry, dryer didn't dry very well and I could smell a very noticable gas leak. This place was dirty, inefficient and gross.
This was the worst hotel experience ever. Everything was broken or in disrepair And the staff was very inadequate. If I could give it 0 stars I would. There was no recycling available. And to top it off they double charged me and it won't be fixed for 3 to 7 days if ever. The ice machines didn't work And the breakfast area was not working for the juice machine and the tables were all dirty at 7 am. I could go on and on. There were no redeeming qualities about this place. I talked to the manager, Amy Evans, when I got home and she hung up on me.
It's ok but nothing special. The person at the front desk was friendly and helpful. It'd be nice if they allowed Wyndom reward points to be earned when paying with the corporate lodging card like other motels do but they choose not to. Room was clean but the bedding seemed kind of old and the pillows should be replaced. The coffee in the room was all decaf. That seemed odd. It's fine if you get a cheap rate but you get what you pay for here.
When we arrived I was treated by a women who was almost done with her shift. She was very very friendly and helpful. When my family and I went into the room we first noticed there was dirt all over the floor and change all over the bed. I brushed it off and continued to get stuff organized for the night. When walking into the bathroom there was dried pee ALL OVER the toilet seat and underneath it. I cleaned it up and then noticed when the water was running it was pouring out the bottom of the sink on the floor. It was this time I asked my husband to request a new room. I NEVER do this. I’m extremely easy going however it was one thing after another. When speaking with the over night gentleman and another female that was there my husband said he almost acted offended that he was bringing this up. He did apologize but then when my husband said for him not to worry about it he went on to explain that it’s his job to apologize. My husband was a little taken back. My husband then just explained that the leak was extremely bad just to let them know it wasn’t a small leak and both individuals ignored him and continued eating their pizza. Needless to say other than the women who worked until 11 our experience with this hotel and the overnight staff is far from even ok.
The room we originally were put in had blood stains on the bottom of the bed and blood stains on the comforter. Went to the front desk and all they offered was a different room. We got a different room and even though it didn't have blood stains on it like other one, it was still giving me a dirty vibe to where i was scared to use any of the covers and looked for bed bugs! The walls had paint chipping off and it just wasn't clean like it should be. Plus the staff came off really sketchy like they were on something. I do not recommend this place to anyone!.
This place was nice. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Though the building shows a little bit of age, all was clean and pleasant. Considering the time I visited (during one of the worst winter storms in decades, with roads and freeways closed for day) they were short-staffed, but nothing was missed. It's a nice place at a great price.

This is by far the best caribou location Iâve been to. They always make the best tasting drinks. They really know how to make the blended drinks perfect to not have any ice junks in it. I would definitely recommend this place.
It is hard to imagine downtown Owatonna without Owatonna Shoe. Can you go online and order shoes for less? Sure. But you don't get your foot measured and walk out knowing you have a quality product that works for you. We got my daughter's running sho
