Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Loveland - Hotel in Loveland - 3996 Peralta Dr, USA

DO NOT stay at the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham in Loveland. We were visiting for a softball tournament and my 13 year old daughter developed a rash during our stay. My Dad checked the bed to see if it could be something on the bed and while doing so found a black pouch. He opened it to then find a crack pipe. He then decide to check his bed and found a vape. It was brought to the the staffs attention. I was told the manager would contact me in the morning. The manager didn’t think it was a priority. I ended up contacting the property manager who also didn’t seem to think it was a problem. It is apparent that the hotel is not cleaning their rooms properly and risking the health and well being of their customer. Especially my 13 year old daughter who was exposed to this!! But as the property manager (Kelly Hunter) stated, “it was simply paraphernalia and we did enjoy our stay and enjoyed their breakfast and other hotel amenities.”

Check in was fast and simple. The staff was friendly. The room was clean and the bed almost perfect (could have been a tad softer for me but I cant complain) and there was no noise. 😁. The bad comment I have is the breakfast. We came down around 745 and things had been depleted and not replenished and the coffee ( Im a coffee snob) was weak for my liking. I think the waffle machine was not functioning properly as my waffle was still mushy in the middle. So cereal it was..but overall the stay itself was fine.

This is a budget hotel but you should still temper your expectations. Rooms are small, but they are clean. The bed was moderately comfortable. I sleep hot and even with the AC on I still felt uncomfortably hot while in bed. Television service is essentially basic cable. There was a mini fridge and a microwave in the room. One good thing of note was there were ample plug in points and even some USB A plugs. Service was hit or miss. Occasionally there were employees or guests smoking outside the main entrance. They won't collect your towels and bedding for three days, which I feel is pretty standard. However, most hotels will still do a daily housekeeping and turndown service, not here. Attention to detail was lacking as well. The over head light in the room entrance did not work. Housekeeping did not clear the alarm clock so it went off at 5 am the first morning. The second morning the fire alarm went off at 7 am for no apparent reason and had been shut off by the time I managed to get dressed and put on shoes to evacuate. When I asked the front desk if there were any issues I was told no that everything was fine. No apologies about the alarm having gone off were made though. The continental breakfast was on par for what I would expect from a hotel in this quality range. They did have a waffle iron though. Location is pretty good. It is near the freeway exit and there are several decent restaurants in walking distance. Downtown Loveland is about a 10 minute drive away. Overall I think this is a mediocre place to stay. Service is definitely the weak point. I was attending a conference at the nearby conference center and some of my friends stayed at the My Place next door to this property and had a significantly better experience with larger rooms and better service for an almost identical price.

Positive: The bed was comfortable which is high on my important list. Negative: Breakfast was poor... make your own pancakes or cereal... that's it. Water pressure at sink and shower was way low and sink faucet was very loose. Room was quite small for the rating and there were no drawers to put clothes in, only cubbies.

Positive: Great Location. Clean and Comfortable Negative: No Pool. Breakfast was very minimal. Shower design is not great, bathroom gets flooded every time you shower.

Very nice place! Though, one of the staff is extremely friendly and bubbly while the other is a dull, brick wall. We had extended our stay till thursday and got new cards by that one specific, dull, staff member, wednesday they went into our room while we were away and procceeded to call us asking if we we're going to get our stuff, when we said that we had extended our stay till thursday and that it was only wednesday, they said they would check the reservation, after 5 to 10 seconds they said there was nothing and asked if we wanted to extend. Keep in mind this was the SAME staff that had extended our stay yesterday AND handed us new cards! We had fled here to get away from the Alexander fire as it was RIGHT next to our house (It survived) and this room had ALL our stuff, it wracked us a bit to know that this employee could just come into our room while we were away. As for the rooms, they were very clean and well-maintained, no signs of bedbugs or any of the sort. Breakfast was okay, the waffles are decent. The entire hallway smelled HORRIBLE like someone took a dump our whole stay.

Checked in and went to the room. The room had not been cleaned, dirty towels in bathroom, trash not emptied, bed not made. Offered another room but no TV. They came up and brought clean towels and made the bed with clean sheets. Could not use shower because it was not cleaned. I am a DIAMOND Member and this is completely unacceptable. I never heard from the manager or owner after my stay.

Booked 2 rooms. Checked in and we went to our rooms. One room still had someone else's belongings and the other room still had towels on floor and beds not made. Went to front desk to see how we could solve problem. While speaking to front desk person, another lady, who had checked in right before us, was also at the front desk and said her room had not been cleaned either. Front desk person did give us other rooms, but heard them say when speaking to manager on the phone that now they would be 3 rooms short for the night. Next morning, while having the limited breakfast, we heard someone else complaining about their room. Also, I heard another lady checking out and was given a room by the elevator and she made comment about hearing the banging from the elevator. In our room, we kept hearing banging from people staying in the room above us, but think they had kids that were running and jumping. Tried to ask one of the housekeepers for a do not disturb sign, as our room did not have one, but she did not understand as she did not speak English, but was able to get one from front desk. Would not stay at this Microtel again when visiting area. We have stayed at another Microtel in Georgetown, CO and enjoyed the stay.
