Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lithonia/Stone Mountain - Hotel in Stonecrest - 2980 Evans Mill Rd, USA

A hotel for locals. People coming and going at all times of the day. Breakfast was practically non existent. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked. Not sure how I missed some of the other reviews but will not stay here again.

Hotel had a bad smell soon as you walked in the door, the guy at the customer service desk was RUDE! Parking lot was full of backyard mechanics, homeless and users. Elevator floor was filthy, the walls going to the hotel room were filthy. Strongly don’t recommend this hotel to anyone

All I seen was prostitute and drug dealers nasty stinking room. Told the people at the front desk I felt they totally disregarded. Didn’t even offer me my money back. I ended up leaving at 9 PM the same night that I checked in.

If I could give a zero rating or below, I would. The hotel staff were dismissive and uninformed. I had to ask to switch rooms several times because the non-smoking rooms smelled of marijuana. The peep holes and the smoke detectors were covered. The room was not well kept. I chose this hotel because my family and I would be close to the Mall at Stonecrest and family. I would rather have slept on the floor with family than pay good money to stay at this hotel. Not to mention the 1-800 customer care representatives were completely useless and even the supervisor had no agency about any of the issues I attempted to address. Horrible choice! Avoid!

I booked this room last minute. I needed a place to sleep for a few hours before I hopped back on the road. The price was too high at the counter but online was cheaper. The clerk end up accepting the online price. I checked in successfully and got to the room. It smelled fine, but I did not trust anything in the room. It was clean enough. The AC did not work. The room was extremely hot. I turned off the heater then turned on the AC. It never cooled the room. I just used a personal fan to cool my face so I can at least get some sleep. My little cuz never went to sleep because it was just to hot for her. I checked in around 11 pm and when I tell you it was a noise hotel. Like doors closing and some banging. I kept waking up to some noise. Around 2 am woke up to get dress and get back on the road. The check out was quick and simple. I don't think I would ever book here again.

Do not come here. It is so filthy, all the way up the walls. Bugs in the bed and people rent it weekly so there is couple fights all the time. Stay away from here

This review doesn’t deserve 1 star as it cannot be rated. Every bad review is absolutely true and not exaggerated at all. In fact , there are no words to describe how awful our stay was. The moment you entered the lobby the stench of marijuana makes you do an about face and leave. But it was 3 am with my children, we were traveling and had no other options. The front desk lady was behind what looked like a bullet proof glass monitoring the various cameras of the property. She didn’t welcome me in, I told her I had a reservation, she asked for ID and still didn’t provide any hospitable words. As I walked the dirty halls, lights dimmed, and the ever present stench of weed, I tried opening the door multiple times and just when I was about to quit, it opened. The room also smelled of chemicals trying to hide that’ strong weed smell. The phone didn’t work, the beds were lopsided and made loud noises every time you moved. The bathroom looked third world: you can see that work was being done but left incomplete. We napped briefly, showered and left! To say this property needs renovation is an understatement. I did not read the reviews as I just went by the name. Never again. Don’t book here, don’t stay here. It is as bad as everyone says it is.

No more smoking in rooms... still smell like smoke in the whole building. Not a good selection of continental breakfast
