Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Cornelius/Lake Norman - Hotel in Cornelius - 20820 Torrence Chapel Rd, USA

Place was quiet and slept great. Had waffles and juice for breakfast but anything else was not appealing. As for the room…TV didn’t work right, no shower liner in shower, but shower curtain was there. Chair back on office chair was leaned back too far and couldn’t adjust. Fine for us and price was good We just needed a night to come in late from a football game, eat a pizza, and go to bed. Worked good for our situation. Would stay again for the same reason. A good place to lay your head for a few hours and sleep.

Good location, friendly staff, simple accommodations and that's what I expected for mini hotel price. But what I didn't expect is for my room to smell like an old cigarette. It's not the hotel's fault that people don't follow the rules of NO SMOKING IN ROOM, but they do and they did obviously. It was late and I liked my room location so I just called desk to say it smells like old smoke and that I don't want them to think I had after cking out. They supplied me with a heavy duty disinfectant spray and we called it a night. Overall it was a 'get what you pay for' stay. Only wish smokers would be more considerate and not leave their stinky habit behind!!!!!!

After being on road for hours I saw a sign for Microtel Lake Norman/Cornelius. I, myself manage a (Best of the Best) Wyndham Property and I know a nice, well managed property when I see it.||The hotel was very clean and they had a Best of the Best of Wyndham trophy proudly displayed at the front desk. I was then greeted by Peter. He was very personable, professional and knowledgeable.|He actually gave me an upgrade on my room and graciously offered to show me a single room verses the double room I was assigned to.||The beds were so comfortable and we slept very well. Another perk was that this hotel had a covered parking garage. Nice!|The breakfast was modest but well attended and fully stocked.||Upon departure the housekeepers Mike and Hema asked me how my stay was and invited me to visit again then requested that I complete a review. So Hema, here's your review! ||I returned my keys to Liz at the front desk, who was friendly, cordial and had a great personality.||I would highly recommend this hotel.|Thanks for a great stay!

Absolutely horrible service. My fiance and I booked adjoining rooms unfortunately we did not get what we paid for. We were given rooms 225 and 227. Upon entering 225 we realized that the rooms were not adjoining. Entering 227 revealed it adjoined 229. When we called the from desk we were informed that 229 was occupied and been rented for several days so we could not have adjoining rooms. We were not notified of this situation and no effort was made to resolve the issue. I am a Wyndham rewards member and frequently stay at Wyndham hotels when traveling to preaching conferences. I have always been satisfied with the service that I received however I cannot recommend this location.

Comfortable beds, easy checkin and decent continental breakfast. Staff that checked us in were knowledgeable, friendly and gave us great recommendations for food in the area. If we come back to Davidson (and since our kid is going there, we will) we will definitely come back! Great affordable choice!

It was overall pleasant and quiet and we slept well. Gentleman at check in was very pleasant…Grateful for that. But I am a STICKLER for cleanliness and there were spider webs over the TV area. I told the clerk at checkout but she didn’t seem interested. MAYBE a one night stay in the future.

Friendly people, clean and a good location, close to Lake Norman. The staff was also very helpful with restaurant recommendations and answering question. Breakfast was clean and well stocked.. 5 stars mostly because it’s exceeds expectations for a budget motel.

CHECK in was great. They say they have Continental Breakfast here, where food is Fresh, but it wasn't when I stayed here . No hot meals, and the Begal was stale. The bed wasn't comfortable at all, and I felt like I was resting on box springs. The a/c and fan worked good, tg. Open trash in the Common area, looked so unprofessional. Noise from other guest in the middle of the night was so annoying. I had to drive home for 6 hrs with very little sleep! When I told the check out lady, she informed me about the Noise I experience, she said I should've called the front desk. And I would've received a credit. Never stayin here again! I don't see upgrades here at all.
