Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Auburn - Hotel in Auburn - 2174 S College St, USA

We traveled to Auburn for a one day event recently and, because we expect to have a student in school there in the near future, have been on the lookout for good places to stay. This Microtel has going for it a friendly staff and a quiet location. The room was a bit musty when we first went in but turning on the air conditioner took care of that. There were some slight stains on the sheets, the bathroom floor was not perfectly clean. One advantage at this location: there is a grab bar next to the tub. The breakfast menu was simple but the choices were all good. Overall, a good value.

I’m a woman over 60 travelling alone and this location and staff were very comfortable. I think it is a family owned franchise location and you can tell the desk staff take pride in their property. I felt very safe. The property is in need of an update, but was functional and clean. They told me they are planning to update the rooms this year. Other than that, it was safe, clean, and economical.

Overall good!!! But would appreciate more variety for breakfast. Most Microtel’s have the best breakfasts ever so was expecting more from this one also.

Our stay was good with this microtel. Our only problem was the mold on the bathroom ceiling. Staff was friendly and our check in was quick as well as check out.

Positive: Location is very good and has numerous restaurants in the vicinity. I-85 is just a minute away. Negative: Our room was next to the back entrance, and everytime the door slammed shut, we woke up in our room. Negative: ""

Cosy, clean and well maintained motel very close to the highway. Numerous eateries nearby. No frills breakfast. Back entrance closes with LOUD bang everytime anyone passes through; literally shakes up adjacent room.

Positive: The location is perfect for campus access. The hotel itself was overall perfectly acceptable. Negative: Our toilet did not work correctly, barely flushing. They did not even attempt to fix it during the stay. Negative: ""

Excellent customer service, very detailed informative staff, completely satisfied. I enjoyed the location, the nearby restaurants, shopping, freeway access.
