Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Anderson/Clemson - Hotel in Anderson - 102 Electric City Boulevard, USA

Room was clean and nice, beds were comfortable. Front desk staff were professional in their mannerisms. Breakfast however was bare minimum. So we decided to go to Cracker Barrel, who never disappoints. In addition, we asked for a room away from everyone cause we are light sleepers. Unfortunately, they didn't listen and our room was on the traffic side of the hotel and we had neighbors. In the AM, we were woken to slamming doors at 5. It they would have listened, and had a good breakfast they would have been given 5 stars

We really enjoyed our time here. We were on vacation from Philadelphia and it was so quiet. You have everything in arms reach. Plenty of parking and lots of places to eat. Even seen a movie behind the hotel.

If you're thinking of staying here. Don't! I do not recommend this place. Elevator down for months, roof leaking in breakfast area with buckets catching water for the 3 days we were there. One positive was the bed was comfortable. But overall just felt yuck!

Check-in was simple. Good location. Reasonable price. Breakfast offerings were disappointing. Items limited toast, eggo-style waffles, coffee, and juice. We opted for McDonald's next door. Reasonably priced for the timing of college student move-in.

Positive: Very well kept, clean rooms, newly built or remodeled, very modern, and friendly staff. Negative: A little more attention given to the breakfast offerings, but overall it was fine.

I accidentally booked a hotel for the same day 3 minutes before midnight and I asked if they would work with me since I obviously meant for the booking to be tomorrow, but they wouldn't give me a refund and simply told me that I could pay another $90 to book tonight when I showed up at 3pm exhausted. It's been a long day, and I've had hotels let me change days or upcharge me if my booking was incorrect. Now.... about the hotel itself, it was getting worked on and smelled like fresh paint and dust... and there was some sort of wasp that was dying inside the lobby that my son squished..., like... this isn't exactly the hotel I would have wanted to stay at anyway so probably a blessing in disguise. I've never had this horrible of an experience at Microtel, but maybe it's gone down since the pandemic.

These ladies where absolutely amazing. My family and I were having car trouble and end led up staying here. Best choice. The front desk ladies have that rare to find now days customer service with a smile. I called a hotel before them the man was just plain rude, so I called the next hotel and Amber and Penny made the whole experience better. A little kindness can make the world for someone in a not so happy situation.

I only stayed at this location 1 night but it was pleasant. I believe the hotel is currently having renovations done but it didn't bother me, not sure how someone staying longer would be affected. Huge shout out to Jewel and Kim, I lost my ankle bracelet and was upset because I thought it might have fallen off at the airport but Jewel turned it in and Kim called me, I appreciate that so much, thank you again Jewel! 💕
