We’ve known and purchased products from your Company for many years and have come to appreciate how we’ve been treated as a Customer. Carol has worked with Sue and has always been treated with professionalism and helpfulness in all our requirements/requests. Unfortunately, that’s not all that common in the business world today. As you know the treatment we receive as a Customer is due in large part as a reflection of what “trickles down” from the top.
I have used Microcom for several purchases and have been happy with the service I received. When product was out of stock or the 2020 supply chain disruption occurred the staff kept me fully in the loop on when I could expect my order. They can ship either common carrier or services like UPS Ground. You can use a credit card or apply for net terms. I will likely continue to use Microcom for the foreseeable future.
Terrible company. I call for a Ubiquity EdgeSwitch 48 port Lite switch. Sales agent Stephen Brown checks with his warehouse since the system says only one in stock. He then says that they "supposedly" have it.
I ask him to call me back because I have questions on shipping. He says he is too busy to call me back and to just email him. I tell him I need the item by mid day Wednesday. He says to order now and I should receive it in time.
He does not handle credit card processing so I have to ask via email who can I call to process the order. Ronna Dejero gets my card information at 11am and says that it will go out today (Monday) without problems via UPS ground 1 day.
Tuesday morning I check and see no tracking information. I ask Stephen Brown for an update he directs me to someone else. This person says sorry but it should be shipped out today (Tuesday) I request to pay extra for overnight AM shipping. Nobody cares about my request.
At 10/02/2018 11:47am I finally receive a tracking number that says: "Order Processed: Ready for UPS" I think "Ok great I needed it by the middle of the day Wednesday but at least with UPS ground 1 day I should receive it by the end of the day. I can work with that."
Wednesday morning 10/03/2018 I check the UPS tracking information and it says: "10/02/2018 7:43pm Voided Information Received". I contact Stephen Brown again and ask what happened to shipping of my order? He then says: "I got the order in the second I could. The second you ask, I jump on it. I have allot of orders, and I work just as hard for you, as I do for them. I do not ship, nor do I personally deliver them, so I know that I did not guarantee a specific time Luis. You have been emailed every update that I have access to, the second I have access to them. WE are in this together man. If your order doesn’t go out, how do I benefit? We are on your team!" Later I find out how ridiculous Stephen's statement is by the way I got treated by his company. "We are on your team!?" I doubt it.
I check my online banking and see that that charge was successful for the full amount. But then Stephen gets back to me and says: "Our accounting department was not able to accept the credit card as a method of payment. The Bank’s fraud department was looking into this for both of our sake." I reply with "What do you mean? I see a successful credit card charge for the full amount from MICROCOM TECHNOLOGIES, CALABASAS CA and that there was and is no block on my card.
Stephen then says: "My accounting department would not accept the card," (What? The charge on the card was successful) "your bank probably does not see it that way. I can not accept a credit card. Wire or check is what they would want ONLY."
I ask then "What is "The Bank’s fraud department looking into" then?" he says "I took that as ours but now that I think about it, it very well could be your bank. I accept orders, accounting is above me completely. Credit Card is out is what they came to a conclusion on. I have no way around that. I will find out today but there is no card going to be cleared on this order. It has to be a check or wire."
I tell him that I spoke with the customer service manager around 2:45pm Tuesday. She was going to investigate and call me back. She did not call back.
I tell Stephen I don't understand "there is no card going to be cleared" when my card has been cleared and charged and I send him and other a picture of the charge on my on-line banking.
Stephen then says: "I confirmed with my Accounting Department that we issued the credit to your credit card for full amount." (I did not say any credit) I also confirmed with my Accounting Department that we indeed can’t use credit card payment terms for this order (but that does not make any logic because my card was charged without problems.
So either they did not have the network switch in stock or the employees at this company could care less and are just there to receive a paycheck. Never do business with this company. It would be 0 stars. Check reviews here and glassdoor . com

to me.
I called and requested an order cancelled and emailed a cancellation and then called my Bank and disputed the charge.
In 10 years of ordering thousands of dollars of parts over the internet I have never had this request.
I would say buyer beware with this company.
Stephen is very helpful and prompt with his responses. If he doesn't have what I need, he'll offer me alternative solutions. I really appreciate that extra step people take to help you. Payments and shipping have always gone smoothly so it's no surprise he's my go-to guy as I feel confident when dealing with him.
Microcom has provided exceptional customer service experience to my company whenever we need our Ubiquiti parts. They are quick to respond to all of my inquiries and will do whatever it takes to get me the answers I need!
I am so glad i found this place! it has been such a pleasure working with Shauna, she is so easy to work with and fair and honest. She gets all of our requests done efficiently and always follows up. She keeps prices competitive and fair and all in all it has been a great experience working with them!
Do not order anything from this company. I placed an order online and requested overnight air shipping. Three days after I placed the order, it still has not shipped. I am now trying to call their support number. Every time I call one of three individuals answers and all 3 of them say "one moment" and send me to someones voicemail that is out of service. Avoid the headaches I've endured and find another company to deal with.
