My family has been getting pizza from Micheal's for almost 50 years, but we stopped when family was no longer able to go and when I moved from Elkhart. While visiting recently, I stopped in for a large pepperoni pizza. The taste is exactly as I remember. The crust has a nice crunchy rim and a great chew. The sauce isn't too thick, or applied too heavily. The cheese is ample, without being stringy. The closest style it resembles is Chicago tavern style. Great pizza.
the atmosphere of this place is so fun and friendly! however, the highlight of my visit was the gluten friendly alfredo sauce! i have a lot of trouble finding places i can eat good pasta and specifically with cheese or alfredo sauces. i thoroughly enjoyed my dinner at michael’s! our server was so helpful with providing allergy information as well.
Michael's has fantastic staff that quickly learn you and your preferences. The food itself is hearty and filling with traditional Americana/Italian cuisine. The atmosphere is warm and amplifies it's status as a small business staple in the city. Head down and check out some great food, attentive staff and stay for the affordable prices.
I've been here several times and have never been disappointed! Their chicken parmasean is the best that I've ever had. The chicken stays crispy and doesn't get soggy from the sauce. Their pizzas are huge and so good! Their sandwiches are always delicious and are a quick option for lunch. Love it!

We tried to go here for dinner tonight as I remembered going here with my parents as a kid for special occasions.
After we found the restaurant via good and found parking.
Their sign said to seat yourself. We chose to sit in a both, the waitress the rudely asked if we had reservations and told us since we didn’t we needed to go see the hostess.
We were then told with a 1/2 empty restaurant it would be a 30 min wait.
I don’t often walk out due to a wait time, but the attitude we were given for no reason plus the lack of explanation / empathy was terrible. I’ve never been made to feel so small, unwanted and unvalued as a customer.
Do better.
Little locally owned place with a great vibe, good food and better service! Erin was amazing and attentive even while busy! First time going here, went be the last though!
