On 8/31/24, my brother booked at week stay here with his family. After only about 4 hours, they left due to the conditions. Broken A/C, bugs, no TV, no wifi, literally nothing as advertised. A hotel employee even let himself into the room unannounced with a key card while they were there. Not only did they refuse to refund the first night, as was expected, they're refusing to refund ANY of the deposit made for the entire week of not being there. They continue to claim openly online that the "situation has been escalated" while continuing to deny the refund personally. Based on this, along with the rest of the rest of the reviews of this place, don't do business with them.

Very dirty. Bed bugs cockroaches. Smells bad. And a lot of drug traffic. Looks as those it’s used as a homeless shelter.

Friendly service. The room was disgusting, towels had stains, shower clogged, sink dirty. Comfy beds, but some sheets also had stains. The price was the cheapest in the area but still not a good value.

Seeing all these reviews not sure if upgrades been done since then, but my room was very clean, no smells, very quiet and comfortable. The A/C unit was ice cold. For 58 dollars out the door price was very well worth it. The staff was super nice and helpful. The only thing that I seen in the room that needed an upgrade was a new light between beds because the powet outlets didn't work on the light and bathroom ceiling fan busted. Overall a good experience, no issues that wouldn't make me stop back again.

This hotel came respectfully rated by trip advisor. Evidently these are old reviews and way off base. Other sites rated it lower, but I did not expect this to be a half star hotel.||I selected the hotel because all the hotels in Gainesville had doubled their prices for the Gatornationals weekend and I was not going to pay $120+ for a Travellodge type room. While I figured to not expect much for the $35 room, I sure did not expect a stay of failures.||I was given a king room with a broken A/C unit until a double room opened up. The tub was disgustingly dirty. The second night I got the double room which is where this review begins. ||The travel bag/towel rack was half ripped out of the wall, the room had not been cleaned/serviced (bathroom cleaned, sheets, and towels were quickly provided however), no cups were ever provided, my sheets and towels were never replaced, the floor had not been cleaned let alone vacuumed in months, the sink and also the tub water ran brown with rust. ||There is no ice bucket provided because there is no ice machine. The room did come with a microwave and fridge which is why I rate this place a half star.||The third day in this room I still had not had my sheets changed or bed made and no new towels. My request at the front desk for new towels brought no results so that upon my return that night I went to call the front desk and the phone was not and could not be connected--it was just a decoration.||At 11pm I had to go back to the front desk and get the towels myself, and was told I needed to request maid service and towels if I wanted them. Huh?||The beds moaned, squeaked, and popped as we sat on them and rolled over in the night. One of them had a hump in the middle and since the hotel was booked full there was no moving to a different room.||The jumbo towels were appreciated, the kid towels I got on the last night were not.||I encountered no bed bugs as some previous reviews stated so at least management got one thing right.||I swear the above is all true.||The only thing appealing about these rooms is this is an old hotel so it has block side walls which act as a very good sound barrier between the rooms.||Other ultra budget hotels can provide a clean room with functioning beds and phones, but management does not have a clue how to or does not want to provide such. The new owner is further ruining this hotel.

The good- AC worked, was affordably priced place to sleep, front desk lady was nice The bad - carpet was disgusting and should be replaced heavily stained and had pet poo on it, possibly blood stain near door, room smelled like cigarettes, not real sure the sheets had been cleaned, towels dirty, we did have shampoo soap and toilet paper, but most reviews are accurate in describing as out dated and dirty. Also, we plugged in the lamp and heard a pop and it started smoking. I recommend that the managers renovate/update the place and get more return on their investment with increased rates

The room I was assigned had two beds which were both unmade. The TV was on, the toilet lid was up, and the toilet was dirty. I thought I walked into a room that was already occupied which scared me because the hotel is so extremely sketchy. When I told the couple that run the hotel what happened I was told, “yeah our housekeeping sucks.” They both were friendly and refunded my money without issue and I appreciated those things. I know it was not their fault and if that felt bad for them. The hotel itself is literally the worst I have ever seen and I’ve traveled all over the country. I guess I learned my lesson to not stay in the cheapest place in town. I didn’t stay there and I definitely would not recommend anyone else stay there.
