Ate here on 12/3/23. First off chips came out warm and delicious, salsa was very garlic forward which set it apart from common restaurant salsa. Guacamole was probably the freshest tasting I have had in my 10 years in Rockford. Margaritas were absolutely delicious and well balanced. My wife loved the shredded chicken sopes. The shredded chicken was the star of my plate as well. Great flavor tender and plentiful. The ground beef was pretty common flavoring and texture as most Mexican restaurants. I had the three pick your own combo and got two tosdadas and a taco. Beans and rice were good as well. Price point was your average for Mexican food. For a family of 4 we spent $80 which included 2 Margaritas. The service was good it seemed being a Sunday they were a little short staffed but still very efficient. The space was a little small but wouldn't feel crowded if it was full. Overall very good experience will definitely be going again soon.
Fantastic food, super fast, very friendly staff, strong and tasty margaritas, excellent house-made hot sauces... This place has got to be in the running for best Mexican in Rockford, certainly the best in the area. Not the prettiest dining space but clean and not cramped, and everything else is too good to care. I'll be coming back often!
I have never done a restaurant review before, but I had to now. Both my husband and I agree that this was one of the best Mexican restaurants that we've ever been to. Our meals were so much more than what you get in other places. The food was simply excellent. We will be back there again with friends. Treat yourself and have a meal at Mi Placita.
My husband and I visited this place 01/07/2024 (a first in their first year of business). I had the Chicken Flautas plate. Excellent flavor well filled with flavored chicken in a crispy corn tortilla. I would prefer no green sauce on my flautas as this caused the crispness to get soggy. The beans a bit flavorless of salt but best to add then to remove. Rice on point! My husband had a combination plate of Chicken/Steak/Schrimp…. He ate the whole thing so I imagine it was good! Many dishes to choose from. The atmosphere was cold in both decor and heat. Will return to try other dishes.
My wife and I came here for lunch and we had the molcajete clásico and I had 2 tacos the food was good but the rice and beans were missing a lot of flavor. The homemade horchata waters were delicious and the waitress was very friendly and helpful. Our overall experience at mi placita was a good one no complaints just the food was ok.
Highly recommend the tres amigos for dinner, steak sopes for lunch, and juevos rancheros with steak for breakfast! You can’t go wrong with anything you choose though. Food always has authentic flavor, and is never over seasoned like most places. Great service, specials and drinks!
Beware, watch it, Beware. Horrible, Not Honest at all. When you make a choice from the menu, beware they won’t tell you about them adding extra prices for food. They asked me what meat for a Burrito and taco lunch and I said EL pastor with extra onions. Well they charge me $3.00 more and never told me it’s more money for anything. Plus never put the onions within my meal at all. Read your receipt at they are deceptive. Will never go back. That’s prob why they are empty and no one is there eating. Also, the salsa is watery and a lot of fat inside their meat. Cheap meat. Also, why do yo put pineapple in tacos and burritos. I never asked for that and you don’t list that in the menu. Will never go back..
Terrible. We ordered for pick up and spent $63 to get chimichangas filled with more peppers than chicken, over cooked mushy rice and runny cheese dip. This is the worst Mexican food I've ever had in this town. We were extremely disappointed and threw most of it away. Do not waste your money.

The looks of the outside might have you second guess yourself, but the equipment on the inside shows you this is a place you come to lift. No frills, no glam, just straight old school vibes with everything you need. It's definitely a hidden gem among
5 Stars, easy. Nice gym, good location, but best of all, great coaching. Finding a good coach that's truly invested in their students is critical for growth in any martial art. Look no further than Core. I was truly impressed by the attentiveness, fo

This Parish is outstanding in leadership and dedicated priests who are phenomenal in ministry and who go that extra mile when needed to help. Parishioners are kind and friendly and feels like family.
This place was a little piece of heaven in a fast paced world. The workers were very friendly and attentive. We rented the hole bowling alley. It's a little old school but it's perfect for quiet bowling. You can bring in your own food and its it's a
Reasonably priced Chinese food, I've been here quite a few times and never had an issue with food quality or any sort of mistakes. This particular restaurant is popular on doordash and can quite frequently have many people standing and waiting on cus
