Metropole Motel - Featured Reviews (29)
Excellent location, cleanest motel you will find. Property well taken care off. Close to anything you could need while in Seaside!
Oscar and Maggie were very hospitable and made our experience in town great! You can tell they genuinely care about their guests needs. The location was also perfect, 8 min walk to the boardwalk. Thank you, we will be back!!
I returned a lost dog to this location. During my quick pop in here, I can say hotel management is very kind & extremely helpful. The place is pretty well lit up at night. The pool area looked very clean & inviting, as well as the pool too. Although it was cold during my visit, all the amenities that were visible give off a fun and cozy atmosphere to stay with friends or family during a warm week of summer vacation. Obviously pet friendly. As for the rooms, I have only gotten a glimpse of a room that had there door partially open and everything appeared clean neat and up to date.
First, to be honest, I haven't stayed there, but my son and some of his friends have on several occasions so this is a combined review. My husband and I wanted to book the Metropole, but we couldn't remember the name or location and couldn't reach my son, so we ended up booking a motel down the street, what a mistake! Since we couldn't get our deposit back from our motel, we stopped at the Metropole to see the rooms for ourselves and we're sorry we didn't stay there. Their pool is in the courtyard, not in the parking lot, so bonus points right there! Rooms have kitchette, bathrooms small. I spoke with the owner and the manager, both very nice. Clean and basic. I would stay there in the future.||My son and his friends stayed there a couple of times in 2012, before Sandy. Their only complaints were the bathrooms were small, one of the bathrooms needed some repairs, but still completely usable. The pots in the kitchenette needed to be washed before using (I would do this anyway). Management was nice, made sure everyone heard the rules and agreed to before checking in. They had a great time.||p.s. I like the retro sign, but I found it a little deceiving, it made me think the place was very old and run-down, but it is not at all. From what I saw they recovered from Sandy nicely.
It was great from the start. We stayed there for prom weekend 2012, 2 nights with 8 people. We had to rent one room, then a second one two weeks later in anticipation of more people, despite this the guy was awesome about it and let us get two rooms right next to each other. He was very friendly, just show respect and you'll be good. We had to switch a person out in the middle of our stay and once we talked with him about it he let us do it with no problem. The pool is great, the manager is very chill about what you're allowed to do, being three blocks from the boardwalk was awesome as basically anywhere in Seaside Heights is within good walking distance. We were all happy with the service and if I were going to Seaside again I'd stay here again, cause unlike a lot of our friends who stayed at other nearby hotels and motels we didn't have any issues and everything was perfect.
Our stay at the Metropole was very enjoyable this June. 12 guests in 3 rooms on the upper deck, for a prom weekend. The on-site manager, Joe, was very helpful and kind, offering us all of the services at the motel for our use, and being very lenient with all of the loud noise we made throughout the day and into the night. I would recommend this motel to young adults and families alike, as it isn't too far from the beach, has a pool and grill, the rooms were very clean for Seaside's reputation, and the on-site manager, Joe, was very attentive and helped us with every single thing we could imagine. Thanks for the wonderful weekend!
I had a great time! The manager was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and well cared for, It's only 2 blocks to the boardwalk and the beach. There are several restaurants in the area that are excellent. I also stayed 2 nights this year for St Patrick's day, and had no problems at all. Looking forward to comming back again for 4th of July 2012.
Despite the limited activities in Seaside due to Hurricane Sandy we had a great time. Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgable of the area. I was able to entertain my children for our entire week long stay. The rooms were clean, the pool was inviting and our overall experience was really good from reservations, to check in and check out.
Wonderful motel! Clean rooms, great service, great pool, beach badges provided (motel is one block to the beach). My husband and me stayed for a few days with our 3 and 4 year old boys. We had a wonderful time. George was so nice and helped us bring
The cleaning smell in the hallway is strong, but not as strong in the rooms. AC is loud, but effective! Rooms were great, loved having a mini fridge available. Can't beat the location!! We'll definitely be back.
Went on a nice trip with my buddy Justin and my other friend Andrea we had a great time visiting the boardwalk and some old shops we haven't been in in over 6 years i was disappointed that most of the stores were closed bc it was before memorial day
This amazing place on the Jersey Shore is definitely the best place to be in the spring and summer months. They have everything, games, rides, attractions, restaurants, fishing, crabbing, water park, gorgeous views, fireworks, live music, festivals,
First time at Golden Gate and it will not be my last. So much flavor packed into their dishes- clearly these were made with love. Fast. Affordable. Friendly. If you are in the Mike for Chinese, go no further than Golden Gate Express. ððð
