Metro Bru - Coffee shop in Eugene - 2378 W 11th Ave, USA

My experience was wonderful, the girls at the counter were super nice and all worked together to get me my food/drink faster. Breakfast sandwich was good, wish I knew the only option for meat was sausage, I like bacon more, but the sandwich is huge and worth the money. Lavender Latte was delicious. The only suggestion I would have to improve is to be careful how long to sit and talk with customers. I was on my way to work and the girl at the counter sat and talked to the girl in the car in front of me for about 5-10 min after she had already received her order, and if I hadn't left early that morning I probably would've been late for work. Overall happy and will be back.

UPDATE TO ADD: I want to clarify that the employee was not new, so this is not an issue with a new hire in training. She's been there for at least this whole year, with long brown hair. This has been my fave coffee place for 2 years, but recently my experiences have been upsetting every time I swing by. The employees are either unhappy or just plain rude, they consistently forget to hand me my food, and when I ask where it is, they say "oh sorry forgot to charge you for it". No, I'll pass, you forgot it, you gave me attitude since pulling up, I won't pay for anything else at this point. Please go back to being a welcoming and pleasant part of my mornings.

We found this place looking for coffee on our way to grab food and head to the coast. We decided to skip getting food elsewhere and all loaded up on either the veggie or sausage breakfast bagel. The dirty vanilla chai and spicy chai were apparently great, the Americano with oat milk was also good. Breakfast sandwiches were huge fluffy bagels. We went on our merry way.. happy to it have to stop and contentedly fill for a couple hours. I’ve been back every morning to grab coffee on the way to work and every interaction has been friendly and pleasant!

The blended chillers are my favorite. They blend the ice so fine that it almost feels like soft serve. I did notice on a few visits that they didn't blend my chiller thoroughly and it made a big difference. The ice chunks gave it a sandy/rocky mouthfeel which was very disappointing. I'm still giving 4 stars for quality/service and I'll add one more if they can dial in the ice consistency consistently. 9/1/22 update: Not impressed. I ordered a chiller this morning and it had icebergs in it (see pic). I started going here because of how good the chillers were but I'm afraid they don't make it correctly anymore. -1 star 😕 09/11/22: chillers are blended to perfection! 5⭐

I was just coming here to drop a wordless 5-star review and then I got caught up reading negative comments from people... I go to Metro Bru every day, sometimes more than once a day. O_O Look I'm gonna say it: the customer is NOT always right. I had some other things typed up, but it sounded combative (and it was). Anyway, haters gonna hate. Keep up the good work Metro Crew (I just thought of that). Maybe this means fewer people in front of me ordering hot food on a busy morning. 😂

Fantastic place! The coffee and Mocha milkshakes are amazing. Can be a long wait sometimes but worth it.

I had high hopes as this drive through came recommended by a friend. I ordered a 12oz oatmilk latte. When the barista handed my order to me I thought it felt a little light but I didn't dwell on it. After leaving I opened up the lid to find a drink that was not even close to full (see photo). I was a little disappointed but thought, hey, things happen, no big deal. Then, I took a drink. Awful, awful. How can a drink taste bitter, sour and burnt all at the same time? I drink a lot of coffee, and this was hands down the worst oatmilk latte I've ever had. Response to Owner: I would be happy to give it another go, let me know how I go about that. The date I went was Saturday, October 16, sometime before 10:00 am. The barista was a young blond girl wearing a brown argyle crop top short sleeved sweater and high waisted jeans.

This used to be my favorite coffee shop but lately the ladies working in the afternoon are just RUDE. They don't greet you, say hello or engage in any conversation. From the time you get to the window they seemed just annoyed that you are even there. Good luck getting a 'have a good day' or 'thanks for stopping by.' Hire new staff!
