Beautiful place, unfortunately people have littered it up, but it is very worth the trip. It's a great place to get in touch with nature. I also advise that you dress appropriate to the weather. If it has rained within the week I would wear some rain boots and clothes you don't mind getting muddy. Also remember your car, you will have to get back in it, mud is a problem.
Very nice hiking area with a few inclines and steps which is a nice change of pace from most of my flatland Ohio hikes ☺️ A potty would really be nice though!!
Love this area of Metea even more, I think!!! So beautiful, you have to check it out for yourself. Wouldn't know what's inside from the outside.
I love it out there is a wonderful place to go with friends and family and you can even bring your dog
This is a birders paradise! Went birding here quite a few times and always want to go back! The front portion is a planted grove of trees so you have to hike a ways to get to the mature hardwood forest which is totally beautiful with the creek and hills! Would absolutely recommend this place if you're a nature lover! Best time for birding is from mid April to the end of May.
Nice wooded trails. A little more of a challenge due to tree roots.
One of the best spots to explore. May be muddy. Plan for bugs and unavoidable mud and thorned bushes. Lots of foraging plants, berries and mushrooms
Nice place! Unfortunately every time I go there's a moron with a dog in the nature preserve section who I know couldn't have missed the "NO PETS OR BIKES" sign. I guess the rules are just there for fun.
