Nice stay while in the Baltimore area. We did not get to experience the lake as we were gone most of the day for a college lacrosse event. The pool closes at 7pm. Our room was comfy with a nice view (lakeview)- it was clean but our room ac unit was very loud at night. I could not hear any lobby noise like other reviewers mentioned even with a concert on our Sunday night arrival. ||Service was good at the bar & my cocktail was delicious. Pricing was on the higher side but I enjoyed a nice view while enjoying a drink & appetizers. You have to ask the front desk for ice as there is no ice machine available. The service from the front desk was just average. Parking is across the street in a garage- not too far but just not right up next to the hotel. The mall & restaurants are close by if you do not want to stay on premises to eat. ||We enjoyed a grab & go breakfast and coffee at the Osprey in the lobby which was convenient and tasty if you do not want a sit down breakfast at Lak. I wish we had more time here to enjoy, but our stay was pleasant and I would definitely book here again while in the area. Also, not too far from the airport.

This is not an"avoid at all costs" but it is an avoid if you are looking for a truly concert friendly destination. The arrival and check in process is easy and parking is free. The issue begins with our prep arrival communication from both the front desk and the restaurant. Using the chat system will leave you in radio silence until you check in and they finally venture to message and ask about your room. If it have questions about dietary needs the restaurant will leave you in much the same way. The hotel provides a shuttle service to the venue but it is rather small and you might be better served walking. Also, though the hotel hosts many guests for concerts the bar closes around 11 making it highly unlikely you'll have a chance to grab a drink and unwind after the show. It would be helpful if the shuttle driver mentioned that point near drop-off. Not to detract from the very courteous shuttle driver! What makes it worse is the room service hours do not match what you see on the main site. In one place you'll see service til midnight but in another you'll find it closes much earlier, around 11. With the noticeable absence of even an in-building shop to buy bottles you'll find this is not what you typically find at a four star hotel. Finally, on a personal note, I went fit a stroll through the ground floor and found when I turned back security was following me to tell me the section was closed off. This after I passed two women coming from the same direction; moreover, if an area in a hotel is "closed off" then close the doors leading to that area or leave your guests to stroll unmolested. If you're looking for clean rooms and good views, this is your spot but they have a ways to go to be as it really could be.

Had hoped that the hotel would reach out to me about my stay prior to my leaving a review…as they said they would…but I figure three weeks is long enough. I stayed two nights in what can be said is a lovely location. The hotel staff was friendly and the rooms were nice. My concern was more related to noise level and comfort. I arrived from Japan to Maryland and was focused on work and sleep. When I arrived I slept most of the day and the AC unit was so incredibly loud I was unable to rest. I tried to connect with the hotel via their recommended number on their “help card” but no one answered. Rather than get dressed and go to the lobby, I turned off the AC (in August) put my headphones on and continued to sleep. Next day - I arrived after work at 5 PM and the entire hotel was full of live music from the lobby, which carried all the way to my 5th floor room. I again put my headphones on to sleep. The music quieted around 9 but I was unaware the there was also a concert that night next to the hotel, which is connected to a music venue. So, once the concert let out, the folks staying at the hotel congregated in the hotel parking and lobby area. I admit this was not the hotel’s fault that the guests were obnoxious, drunk and loud, but since it is private property and after midnight, something could have been said. I made my complaints known when I checked out the next morning. I even shared a recording of the AC noise in case there was someone checking into the same room that day. I have heard nothing and can only state that I will never stay at this particular hotel…when on business.

The staff was fantastic and the guests seemed happy no matter who I talked to. I would recommend this hotel. I will say that the dining room staff needs more experience. They seemed overwhelmed during breakfast and forgot some things when I ordered my food. I and several guests also noticed a big fat mouse running around. The staff didn't catch it and I don't know how the situation was handled beyond the mouse hiding underneath some tables. It was a little crazy for a few minutes. We chose not to eat in the dining room again. I don't think they had the staff to handle the situation because the dining room never shut down. YUCK. Despite that, my stay was fantastic.

This is a really nice upscale hotel in a suburban retail district -- all surrounding a beautiful lake with walking trails.||Rooms are modern and well-appointed. Restaurant and bar is great. We spent just one night here but would return in a heartbeat should we ever pass through the area again.||Truly fits the brand of what I expect from Marriott's Autograph Collection.

The hotel was clean. Every interaction with a hotel team member was superb. I was surprised at how quickly they responded to requests for water/ice/extra towels/extra toiletries. The room service was quick and delicious. We couldn’t have had a better experience. Thank you all very much!

This place is INCREDIBLE! It's a stunning location, with beautiful art and furniture. Plenty of places for lounging and eating. The staff is knowledgeable and incredibly kind. This really changed my perspective of the type of hotels I'm willing to stay at. Everything was extremely clean, and the food is delicious! I haven't slept this great in a long time. Every detail feels curated and intentional, making your stay feel just that much more refined. I will 100% recommend to anyone, and likely will be back.

We had a very pleasant experience at the Meriweather Lake House. Jocelyn, who checked us in, was more than accommodating. In fact, she found us a room that had, in our opinion, the most beautiful view of the lake. Bryan was very knowledgeable when we had questions regarding our bill. He explained everything to the letter. With employees such as these, the Lake House will continue to receive reviews like ours!

Newly renovated rooms, friendly staff and privacy where exactly what we needed for a couple's weekend getaway. Not a hotel by any means, this is a country in and a worthy experience.
