My husband and I stayed for Valentines Day. The house was so beautiful and inviting I didn't want to leave. Him and I try to visit different B & B a couple times a year (So we've been to a lot) but this one has been my absolute favorite so far! Joy the owner has wonderful taste when it comes to decorating plus she is a wonderful person to talk with. We stayed in the Tuscan room, we had our own private bathroom and the bed was very comfortable. The next morning Joy made us homemade Organic waffles with whipped cream that she made from scratch...they were delicious! She also made me an embroidered pillow that came with the Valentines Day special. I would recommend this to anyone who is traveling to Oswego or if you're looking to just get away for the night and relax.
Staying at the Merriam Vincent Guest House was a wonderful experience. The home was immaculate and beautifully furnished. It was spacious, comfortable, and service was amazing. We were greeted with homemade strawberry lemonade in hand, and were constantly asked if there was anything that could be done to make our stay better. Our room was adorable and felt very private. We enjoyed breakfast on an adorable patio, and everything from the coffee to homemade waffles was absolutely delicious. Would definitely do this over the local hotel and airbnb options we looked into! Thank you, Joy!
The Merriam Vincent house is truly Beautiful, inside & out. It radiates charm & comfort. |Exquisite taste level than Most bed & breakfasts’. |I felt transported, back in time, to the mid-19th century. |Yet, all is updated, state of the art, WIFi etc. |Our four poster bed-mattress was just right.|Everything was so fresh & clean.|Joy, the owner, was Delightful..so warm & welcoming. Delicious Organic Breakfast, not the sugary-starchy fare at other Bed & Breakfasts.|We will be back!🌺
We were in Oswego to visit family and for the Harborfest, and stayed at the Merriam Vincent Guest House. I have traveled the world and stayed in many boutique inns and guest houses, and this one rates at the very top. First of all, this B&B is breathtaking in its beauty and historical significance, with common areas all carefully decorated with gorgeous period furnishings. Once we got to the rooms, the beauty continued. The decor was amazing, as were the little touches at every turn. The locally made soaps and shampoos, the big fluffy towels, and excellent modern shower were very much appreciated. The beds were made with excellent linens and so comfortable. We got two adjoining rooms with our son in the other room, and he said his bed got a "10 out of 10" rating. Joy, the proprietor of the inn prepared us a delicious breakfast before seeing us off. Thank you, Joy, for the perfect stay.
Our stay at this property was very special. Joy was a great hostess and breakfast was exceptional. We would highly recommend this beautifully appointed home to anyone coming to Oswego. It is a few blocks from town with a street full of great restaurants. We will certainly come back on our next visit to Oswego to visit family. Thanks again. Linda and Mark
I felt like a Queen!!! Joy, the owner, truly represents her name. She greeted me with a big smile, showed me around this huge, immaculate home. The attention to detail in every inch of this Huge Historic Guest House is incredible, right down to the amazing little soaps (I couldn't decide to eat it or shower with it) And the food? Her homemade blueberry muffins were the best I have ever had. It is rare when staying out of town to have a place to literally get my feet on the ground, so my favorite place was her unique private outdoor space. Coffee in hand and birds singing~ Perfect!
Joy is a very lovely and talented decorator which shows in every room ! Breakfasts are organic and delicious ! Joy’s enthusiasm is infectious ! Great comfy house !
Hey beautiful bed and breakfast in a great location it was great to stay there apart from the the abysmal no choice breakfast at $222 per night expect a large choice for breakfast and not just waffles and yoghurt come on girl give the customer what they deserve

Connwction Point is a wonderful place to visit and to make it your permanent eating place. The family owners are most gracious and personable, and the food both hot and cold is so tasty and nutritious, you will want to come back often. The atmosphere
Informative museum with kid-friendly exhibits. Seeing the Derrick 8 canal boat with engines and boiler was fascinating. The LT-5 tug boat that participated in the D-Day invasion was very interesting and surprising. Highly recommend a stop at this
