The only dish I liked was the Dinuguan, I've had better though. Both their Shanghai and Vegetable Lumpias had no filling. Maybe whoever was making the Lumpias that day didn't want to, lol. The Lechon was all fat, but crispy. When I went, there were two homeless guys out front. Just walk by them, they won't bother you. I think the owner gives them breakfast. The lady that took my order was nice and helpful. If you want a quick fix on some Filipino food, go here.
Hole in the wall Filipino restaurant in Whitmore Village. Aesthetically it's not the cutest place but that's how you know there's gonna be some good, authentic, homemade food in there. First time here even though I'm a Wahiawa native. They sell ala cart, by the plate, and platters. It looks like lots of people ordered ahead for platters which I will also do myself the next time. I went a couple hours before closing so the food didn't look fresh but we enjoyed it. Salty and savory food that hits the spot and wear something comfy cause it'll definitely be kanaks after.
The food here is really good! Everything is already made so all you have to do is tell them if you want rice or noodles and what meat you want.
Best place to satisfy your Filipino cravings good pricing & portions.
I like Merlina's they have the best in my opinion Lechon & other dishes prices so far are very reasonable for me anyway. I love the wild bittermelon dish the make but it's not often available. You just have to try it.
Its a no frills kinda of place but the people were nice and the food was good. Seemed to be take-out only, I got the two portion meal for under $12. Plenty of food I was able to eat for Lunch and Dinner.
The lady wasn't very welcoming. This was my first time and my food was cold. The Adobo was very oily no flavor just oil and rice flavored. The banana lumpia the banana was green and not tasteful at all. The Shanghai lumpia was ok.
I actually love their food but their night time cashier has boi customer service skills, she's rude and has the personality of a wet mop! Every single time I've gone there while shes working she is so rude! Other than that I love the place. Food is excellent! Place is always clean!
