We slid in for the last tour of the day and our whole family loved every minute of it. Mr. Fredrick greeted us and checked us out. He was so kind and so was our tour guide Mr. Al. He was patient and informative. The tour was rich in engaging history that truly captivated your attention in each room. We plan to go back and soak up a bit more that we missed. We paid $16 for our family. Such a great price for all it entails. We came away with such a better understanding of the Mennonites, Hutterites, and Amish. Unexpectedly, we even left encouraged and it honestly challenged our faith to shed the noise of the world and simply seek and reflect Christ more purely. Go...you wont be disappointed!!!
For starters my family absolutely LOVED the entire experience and this is a MUST DO in shipshewanna. This is the most informative and well formatted tour I have been on in many years. There were 5+ different rooms and a whole different amazing experience in every one of them! All the Amish were extremely kind and the tour consisted for about 2 hours! There were very informative videos and amazing historic one of a kind devices! This is for sure a 6/5 experience, we will be coming back.
So nice people walking you through such an amazing exhibition about the Mennonites & Amish! Really enjoyed it.
One of the surprising things about our Elkhart stay was taking in all of the Amish culture, food, products! If you want to learn all about the culture, this is the place to go. You are ushered from room to room with displays/video teaching about the Amish/ Mennonite /Anabaptist culture. After the several rooms, there are more artifacts and a couple of theaters as well. We spent about an hour on the tour and had a great time. Definitely recommend if you are interested in the culture. If this review has helped you, please give it a thumbs up.
Great museum! I loved this place. I learned quite a bit about the Anabaptist sects. I spent about 2.5 hours here. I read just about everything. Small note: It's pretty heady for young kids. They have some interactive things for kids, but it's really designed for adults and those who really want to learn about the Anabaptist movement.
We learned so many new things about the Amish's culture during our excursion.
Definitely worth a visit! Thank you!
Very informative experience. Would definitely recommend to broaden your knowledge base and understanding of these neighbors.
A museum highlighting the backgrounds of the Amish, and Mennonite cultures. Guided tours along with excellent videos of the various cultures. Make these two hours part of your visit to Shipshewanna IN. Very well done. Tour guides did an excellent job!!!
I went for the very first time last week and I LOVED the pretzels. They were the perfect texture. I tried two different ones. The parmesan and the cinnamon sugar. They were both delicious. The pretzels are so filling that I had to pack my cinnamon su
A great menu with so many choices you will not go hungry. So many neat antiques around the building . Really good service they really know how to take care of guests. The food was good with big portions you will not leave hungry.
It is the most beautiful place for children at all. There are a lot of animals and my children enjoyed a lot. When you enter, you will pay two dollars for each child who wants to feed the animals and ride horses. There is a small and a large horse fo

We were hoping for the buffet, but it wasn't available the night we went, but we didn't mind because the women who took care of us were amazing. Made sure we had everything, refilled glasses promptly and the food was amazing and plentiful. Definitely
