The rooms could be dusted better but they're definitely clean enough. You will see evidence of attempts at being thorough. I find bits of stuff in the sheets occasionally, but they do change the sheets it seems because i can smell fresh detergent. The service is good. The staff is polite, respectful, and efficient except for the woman in the office. (The housekeepers are all nice.) The men in the office treat me kindly and like they appreciate my business. The woman unfortunately obviously has some sort of inner issue and her misery leaks out every time I speak to her. She is offensive, rude and disrespectful. If I didn't know better, I would leave a worse review and stop patronizing this business altogether, but it's obvious that she is the outlier. She alone is why I take off 1 star, but the great part is most times i dont have to interact with her. Otherwise I feel safe and comfortable when I stay every couple of weeks for a local quick and affordable getaway. They have the best prices for their standard in the area.
Room was non smoking but smelled very heavily like blunts and cigarettes. The room was stale, the carpet was gross. I slept on top of the comforter because.... I don't know when the sheets we last changed. There were eyelashes stuck under the pillow. There were several vehicles in the parking lot with windows busted out so that wasn't very reassuring eventhough it was gated. Luckily I was was only there to crash a few hours before I hit the road again. There were cops all over the parking lot at this motel and several others on the street, very odd.
The rooms are renovated and look great! I stay here whenever I am in Memphis. I live in The Great State of Texas but grew up in Memphis. I've stayed here many many times over the years and when I lived in Memphis and they are so much better than when I was living here. Great job guys! Very nice and comfortable rooms. I will continue to stay at the Memphis Inn EVERY single time I visit my hometown. I, absolutely, recommend the Memphis Inn. Clean, nice, modern Shane Aycock
Its a lot of homeless people and junkies over there I heard some shots and then went to the store a hour later and someone had overdosed right across the street from the hotel. This not a safe environment for no one especially children and they make there own prices up as they go. DO NOT BOOK A ROOM EVER.
Not very impressed with the look and comfort of the rooms, and safety and location of this hotel. I also felt the prices were too high (price gouging) for what the hotel was offering and from what I observed. The front desk staff was not very welcoming, warm, and friendly, so I do feel the customer service and customer satisfaction can be improved.
It was a pleasure staying here. The hotel itself is deceiving. The outside is not much to look at, to their credit they are renovating the outside for better appeal. The rooms have been fully renovated. The beds are comfy and the pillows are very inviting. We are currently staying here on business. It has been 3 months with no problems. They have an amazing weekly rate. The staff is friendly. The maids are wonderful. I have stayed in about 100 hotels and motels during my career and this place has been a diamond in the rough. Stay here.
We visited our son that lives in Germantown. We wanted a motel close to I-40 and wasn't very expensive. This motel came up as fitting our needs. I called !the night before we left and was surprised that the woman that answered did not take my name or credit card number to hold the room. I also asked about pet friendly and was told we would have to pay a pet deposit, which is ok and expected. That should have been my first clue! When we arrived and my husband went in he was told the pet deposit for two small dogs was going to be 60 dollars! They did not have the two beds we asked for, only a king bed, which was alright although we would really like two. My husband came out and told me all this and added, "I get the impression they do not want our business for some reason!" Well, needless to say we left and went across the street to the Days Inn and paid less for a wonderful room and pet friendly stay. I will never attempt to stay here ever! I was informed by my son that Memphis is a difficult place to find a safe place to stay because of the crime rate. This motel had all ground level rooms which is why we chose this place. The office is barred up windows and doors and the office is behind bars which tells me they have had problems before.
Price was acceptable for weekly stay. Room included fridge and microwave. Bed was comfortable. Despite being on street side there was no excessive noise from the road. One complaint about lack of water conservation. The tub ran a continuous stream despite being "off". This should be fixed immediately.
