Beautiful art museum tucked into a hidden gem of Memphis! The collection here is beautiful and there is usually a traveling exhibit on display as well. Going through the entire place will take you a day, so make sure to schedule plenty of time and walk around both inside and outside! We were really impressed with the quality of art housed here and how nice the interpretation was for each piece and/or collection. Truly a highlight of Memphis!!
Interesting eclectic gallery, lots of classical art and some fun more modern items. Some fun interactive exhibits as well. 5* ruined by missing a couple of enclaves due to a wedding function using them as dressing rooms! Not great for paying patrons.
There is so much to learn! Lots of great artifacts! I fell in love with the sensory area that applies to all five senses. I also enjoyed the interactive room where you can try on costumes, listen to sounds, draw, play interactive game with art pieces. It's a total vibes. One portion was closed. But there is so much to dooooooooooooo!
The beauty of the Brooks Museum is so effortless. The trees are giant and peaceful. The entire area is buzzing with people loving life. Keller came to me with plans to ask his long time girlfriend Emily to be his wife on the grounds of the Brooks Museum. He picked the perfect spot around sunset and took her completely off guard and asked her to be his wife. She didn't hesitate for an emotional yes as these two embraced as the sunset breeze took them away. The Brooks has endless beauty and holds a sentiment to all who visit.
I really enjoyed this place. I kept skipping it during my trips to Memphis and then had a friend who wanted to go.
I wish I had gone sooner. Not huge, but a really nice collection with some very interesting pieces. I have gone to many museums all over the world, and I still enjoyed every minute of it here.
This was a really nice museum to visit. We went on their free night and enjoyed our visit very much. There is a kid area that allows them to dress up, draw, listen to sounds, and do some climbing. The art and exhibits of items are very interesting. I enjoyed the items from Egypt. Would visit again when we come into town to visit with family.
I enjoy coming here to the Brooks Museum on Popular Ave. The different arts are just so amazing to see. The museum has the most amazing pieces of its art history. There is a small cafe there too where I purchased a warm latte. I'm so excited and with great anticipation waiting for the new downtown location. This museum definitely made for Memphis and designed for the whole family to enjoy.
Huge building but underwhelming size and quality of collections. Heavy on regional American artists, some impressionists. Quite hot in many spaces during summer midday. Guards were strangely aggressive. Albeit underutilized, the original neoclassical building is perhaps the most interesting aspect—it’s a shame they’re abandoning it soon. Takes about 1.5 hours to see everything. Currently free admission on Saturdays 10-12.

A great museum at the end of Beale street. You just make a donation and take the tour. You can't take pictures but it is an amazing collection of Dr Winters photographs from the Civi Rights era, rock n roll/blues and sports. It is well worth the stop
Great gallery in pleasant gardens, even ran into a free outdoor Shakespeare show of the Tempest! Interesting art and things in the Gallery. Well worth spending some time here.

This place is really neat and would be like a giant playground for kids. There are lots of little buildings to go around and enter. Neat and unique swings along the way. They also still had some flowers even with it being November. Just a nice way to
My family and I were in town and was directed to this cool 20's hotel vibe shop. Staff was very personable, the atmosphere was so cozy and our drinks were on-point. I guess there was a boil alert in the area which kept them from using their main mac
Marvelous old outdoor amphitheater in Overton Park is a great place to watch a concert. Outdoors, so it may be hot during the summer. But when the sun starts to set the trees provide shade. There are food trucks and restrooms. It can be crowded, so
