A quite pleasant urban park with fountains, plants and trees. It is tucked in the busy Pittsburgh Downtown area between busy Smithfield Street and the grand, historic William Penn Hotel. From here, any business, Commonwealth, Federal, Allegheny County, and City offices. This is a great place to stop and eat your breakfast, lunch or dinner. Check it out!
My favorite park in Pittsburgh. It went through a thorough renovation several years ago and only changed for the better. With the atmosphere and farmers market vendors, reminds me of Union Square Park in NY.
Cute little elevated park to catch a break in the midst of the urban jungle of Pittsburgh. But otherwise there's not much else to it. I'd avoid this area at night.
Beautiful park right in the middle of the hustle and bustle.
Stepping inside gives you a place to get away from the noise of the city as the sound of the fountain drowns out the streets surrounding it.
It's quite peaceful, even at night.
Stayed at the Omni William Penn while in town with Sesame Street Live "Let's Dance" North American Tour. Short walk from the hotel to the theatre. Beautiful Hotel decorated for Christmas. Several restraunts in hotel including A speak easy themed pub I went to several times. This is not the place to stay if you are looking for an affordable place to stay. My company paid for everything but I believe I saw A sign that read $400 a night was the usual rate. That being said it is a luxurious atmosphere as far as the lobbies, restaurants, gym, bars, coffee shop. They have several giant crystal chandeliers in the main lobby with excentuated crown molding lovely window treatments curtains glazed glass windows, marble tile floor with gold accents everywhere. They had several Christmas decorations including too many wreaths to count, several Christmas trees on every floor featuring a 24 to 30 ft tree in the main lobby with custom ornaments and ribbon throughout and a heavenly Angel on top gazing out upon the grande main lobby. I found it interesting that you can be on different levels and exit at street level on different streets I believe it takes up four city blocks. So all for one you might come out of one street and then on the second floor on the other side you'll come out street level on a totally different street and it does this I believe the first four fours. I was sort of disappointed in the rooms themselves however. They just seemed pretty average as far as the bed goes although the winnings were luxurious with a down comforter. I didn't enjoy the oversized bathtub and shower. It's definitely a place to stay if you can afford it overlooking mellon square. It truly is right in the middle of the city with quick access in any direction you want to go we even found ourselves at a gentleman's club not too far away if that's your thing. And there are too many bars and restaurants to count with him walking distance. There is a bit of a homeless issue in certain areas you will find them sleeping in doorways to businesses after hours. I didn't mind it because they didn't bother anybody and they were just trying to get out of the wind in the cold. Anyway like I said if you can afford it check out the Omni William Penn at Mellon square and visit the theater while you're in town
Was the best downtown area to hang out the eighties and nineties and it's wonderful to this day! Good place to relax and still be Able to be surrounded by the architecture that is special to Pittsburgh!
Went for a free concert organized by the Parks Conservancy - Quite enjoyable
This used to be a wonderful Park until the k-2heads took over avoid this place with all cost
There's a lovely community garden at this entrance that is ripe for picking vegetables (pictured below). Parking is also very close within a minute of walking.
Wicked cool. Movie in the pool once a month, playground is different than others which is great. Live music every Wednesday in the summer!
Pizza at the snack shack is super good and the family that runs it makes it themselves. I think it was like $4
Beautiful place to hike jog ,and hopefully swim if the pool opens . There is a dog park ,duck pond volley ball sand court. As well as groves you can grill out in . Peaceful waterfalls
Right behind the zoo . The main entrance leads to the reservoir. O
Absolutely obsessed with this place! First, itâs a Really nice spot to go for a walk. the trail is parallel to the river so itâs a nice scene. Thereâs also a âspray painting allowedâ rule so you can do your own or admire the other beautifu
I always come here for the peace and quiet. Nice view of the river and the bridge. Great trails for riding. Access to the water for fishing. There's even a little island to go onto when the waters low.
Nice little park. It was clean and maintained well. They have a small parking lot, tennis courts, merry-go-round, swings, jungle gym, hills to roll down, rock wall (a legit wall made of stone) to climb on. My kids had a nice time.
One of the best Corssfit community i've trained with. Amazing place to train, good plans, amazing coaches! It has a lot of parkings si it's easy to visit with car.
Highly recommended! Location, landlord, and overall conditions have all exceeded my expectations in every way so far. Details below.
Location: *Extremely* nice part of town. The 2421 Beechwood building neighbors the Frick Park trails, and is a half
I joined Stride as a founding member because it was close to my apartment. I didnât run much prior and walked the first couple months of taking classes there and can honestly say every workout is as high or low impact as you want to make it. Every
