Meliá Orlando Celebration - Hotel in Celebration - 225 Celebration Pl, USA

Long but worth the read, we stayed for 6 days so I think we had a pretty well-rounded experience to reflect on. Pros: 1.good location as I had to visit the hospital and it was very close by 2. Super easy to get a late checkout 3. Very friendly and accommodating staff! 4. The food was pretty good at the Wilson (see below for details) 5. The atmosphere by the pool was very relaxing Cons: 1. We had to ask the front desk to have someone clean our room at 3pm after we had been away all day because housekeeping had not come even though we had the “please clean” sign up, (most other days the room was done by 12) 2. We had no coffee cups in the room until day 4 3. We only got a face cloth with our towels on one day, every other day we got 2 towels and 1 hand towel, but no face cloth 4. The pool and hot tub could really use a good cleaning on the bottom especially, hot tub had dirt or sand in it for 2 days before we left 5. Day 5 some company came to cut the bushes and were outside doing this very very loudly at 8am which we REALLY did not appreciate on vacation. 6. We had to send back our breakfast TWICE on the same day because the French toast was so undercooked/raw it was actually mushy and dripping both times. My husband didn’t end up eating anything that morning because of it. The manage offered to get something else but by then there was no appetite left. Overall it was an okay stay but we won’t be coming here again.

We were blown away with the customer service of this hotel. We got there late at night and we had both our sleeping kids with us. The staff checked us in and explained in detail the amenities of the hotel and town. We were there for Disney and the lady at the front printed off some coloring pages while we were sorting out our day in the “backyard” area. I will always choose this hotel when we come to Celebration. She also pointed to some fun things to do in the area and later on saw her at the Sunday market. It became a tradition to stay here once a year until the pandemic shutdown. We love this hotel and the warm welcome it radiates when first arrive. The small town of Celebration will forever be in our hearts.

We had a great stay here. Loved the full size kitchen. Susetta (sp?) at the front desk was awesome. She really helped to make our stay memorable. The location is close to Disney World and several restaurants. A little older looking but clean and great staff.

I personally really enjoyed my stay at this resort. Although the daily $35 resort fee can be a turn off as they don’t really tell you about it upfront. But aside from that everything was very well kept, modern, and clean. The room was immaculate. Was stocked with a good amount of complimentary snacks/drinks. Very spacious kitchen, nice size balcony, separate bathtub, modern bathroom and clean sheets. Loved the Christmas lights upfront too. Would definitely return again.

Only spent two nights for an ESPN tournament, and it was 45 degrees, but overall had a great experience. Everyone was accommodating and friendly. Would definitely return. The front desk receptionist was very helpful in fulfilling us with the proper room we had previously requested.

The hotel buildings and rooms are dated, smelly and in disrepair. I was staying with my husband in a king suite. There was nothing to wash or dry dishes with (sponge, dish cloth, drying towel/rack), forcing us to use towels from the bathroom towels, which were inadequately stocked. When we called for extra sets of towels, 1 bath towel was sent. On the second day the towels left on the floor were not restocked, forcing us to call down yet again to ask for additional towels. The towels themselves were threadbare and small. The toilet flushing mechanism broke due to rust and disrepair. It was repaired several hours after reporting. Posted signs in the room stated that bedsheets would be NOT be replaced if a hanger was placed on the bed. We specifically did NOT place a hanger and the bed was made, but the sheets were NOT replaced during our stay. The bathroom wall needed repair/finishing. The refrigerator inexplicably moved out of its designated space repeatedly indicating it, or the floor was not level. The dishwasher was not secure and would tip out of its designated space when opened. No additional paper towels or trash bags were provided. The sliding glass door was nearly impossible to open or close and the lock was warped rendering it unusable. The room safe had been “locked” in the open position and would not reset rendering it unusable. The “fitness center” was more like a room. When my husband attempted to use a group dance fitness class was taking place and no other fitness equipment was noticed. Other that the property’s close proximity to ESPN I would NEVER stay here or recommend it to others. We travel to Orlando multiple times a year for sports competitions and specifically seek properties with functional kitchens, fitness centers and pools. I cannot speak to the pool as the weather was not cooperative. The front desk and restaurant appeared to be recently updated. The food was decent, but the coffee machine in lobby had a note stating it was out of service.

We stayed here for one night after travelling back to the Orlando area to get a flight the next day. The hotel itself is lovely and very modern. Staff were very nice and the room was nice and clean. Good size with plenty of space and a big bathroom. We liked the addition of the in room safe, plenty of sockets, fridge and clearly labelled complimentary items (bottled water, diet coke and 2 packs of crisps) First time I've ever been given a room key wristband, but it worked perfectly and was comfortable to wear (guess you can always put it in a pocket if you don't want to wear it) I agree with other reviews that day the resort fee is not clearly mentioned even booking the hotel on their website, this should be made much clearer. Yes it includes free WiFi and free parking (which can be expensive in other hotels in the area) but please stop making it a secret and make it very obvious! I also received an email a few days before saying I could check in online, and after entering all my details it got stuck saying 'contact pending' and didn't do anything else. It implied you could skip physical check in and use my phone as a room key. When I arrived and checked in I mentioned it hadn't worked and they just said 'yeah online check in doesn't work' so why send the email and waste my time everything information into the app? Turning left out of the hotel into Celebration Place is a bit of a nightmare when the roads are busy so be warned if you'll need to exit this way. Would definitely consider staying here again in future. Need to add the resort fee when doing price comparisons though.

We really enjoyed ourselves. The place, the people, the food, the pool is heated. I have it 5 stars. My only 2 issues (which weren't enough for me to go to 4 stars) was one, the automatic 18% gratuity. If I'm ordering TO GO, I don't feel like I should have to pay gratuities unless I want to. Number 2, the spa is technically not on the property. When u look at the hotel online, "spa" is listed as an amenity. The spa is part of the wellness center down the street. Though it's not far, it's not on the premises, and this was a relaxing vacation for me. Other than those 2 things, the hotel was great! And I really like the circular design.
