Best clinic in Chicago. Very professional. Answers all my nervous questions and gives a game plan of what to expect over the years for our aging pets. Very clean and calm. Staff are really passionate, skilled , and caring. That positive and nurturing energy helps this to be a great place of healing and comfort.

My dog has seen Dr. Valbuena a couple times now. As someone who works in the animal welfare field it’s so great seeing the vets and techs use Fear Free exam practices. My dog doesn’t always do super well at the vet, but they always make her feel as happy and comfortable as possible even while muzzled. They also do a great job at making sure dog reactive dogs get their space. Their prices are reasonable and they’ve never tried to push unnecessary tests!

This practice is AMAZING. We recently started seeing Dr. Sullivan after having negative experiences at our previous vet office with our anxious and shy rescue dog. The staff at this clinic is so incredibly patient, kind, and care so much about the pets (and their parents). Our sweet girl was very anxious when we tried to leave her for her dental cleaning. Dr. Sullivan offered to start the sedative medications in the room with us and then once she got very sleepy he took her back to wait for her cleaning. He also did her first so she wouldn't have to wait long. The tech who took care of her after the cleaning was so calm and patient with her. This team has changed her vet experiences around and we cannot thank them enough for being so patient and treating her with such compassion (and her parents!). We know it's not easy having to take extra steps to help an anxious dog feel comfortable. Plus, their prices are extremely reasonable and they never recommend unnecessary items. I got into my appointment right away. The staff was all so kind and helpful and treated my cat so nicely. They were very thorough with discharge instructions. I would highly recommend you go here!

Staff was amazing, knowledgeable and patient. We're first time cat owners so we had a lot of questions about their diet, grooming, etc. The staff answered all our questions so thoroughly. They showed us how to cut both our cat's nails. I was recommended this vet by a friend and I'm so glad I listened. Glad to be established at this clinic!

Dr.(Drew) Sullivan is kind, thorough & thoughtful to both the “mental” health of a Pets Parent, as well as the physical health of your ❤️’d Pet. Ours happens to be a MORKIE-who weighs all of 6lbs-11oz (…now a “Happy” 8 lb-er)., &’s as calm in Drew’s hands as he is in ours. Very attentive & responsive to all of our Pandemic Pup’s needs. Xtra points for his reccd. a Doggie chillaxin’ Med (Trazodone) when our lil fella was to take his 1st Airplane Trip to Arizona-and Cumin was a Rock-star! on the flight… ✈️ No barkin’-No Fidgeting- jus’ Chill + SUPER friendly to the entire Staff on our 4 hr. Flight! what a joy that experience was. (Oct.’22-update)-we needed an EU Health Certificate to take our dog to Portugal - & Dr. Drew Sullivan -personally- stepped in to help us verify/validate Cumin’s health safety!) (Cumin now holds an EU Pet Passport 🛂 (Sept’23 Update)-after “something” was irritating CUMIN’s R. Rear paw (Nail-bed), causing him to constantly lick it-we took him to MEDVET ER where they expressed oozing pus/gave us antibiotic/Pain-Meds/a Collar-of-Shame, & a $349.00 Invoice. After 6 days it was still RED/NOT healed-& Dr. Sullivan’s Technician, Christy took Cumin to investigate, & showed us a .375” piece of sumpin she pulled out of his Nail-Bed. Thank Goodness we took CUMIN to a true HEALER, as opposed to “a MEDVet Money-Extraction-Machine”. What a great resource. We Highly reccd this Teaching/ Training Vet & Dog Whisperer! Dr. Valbuena is an awesome vet. I had three extractions for my cat. She was so kind and understanding during the whole process. The way she handled him and communicated with me through everything was really much appreciated as I was more nervous than my little buddy going in. Cost-wise, I think they are much more cost-effective than other vets and they do provide estimates upfront and explain what costs might vary and such. It's hard to give perfect estimates without actually having your pet under anesthesia to see what exactly is going on, but they got the estimate pretty close which was great to see. I would highly recommend Dr. Valbuena and the gang at Med District! Super-compassionate, polite, and knowledgeable. Thank you again, everyone!

You'll never find a more compassionate and resourceful vet than Dr. Kritzman. We frequently went through vets in the city for our two bull terriers, partially because city vets tended to have predatory pricing for subpar services and partially because no vet was able to cure our dog's chronic giardia infection. That is, until we met Dr. Kritzman. We have been with her for two years and loved every single visit we have with her. She was able to cure our boy's giardia completely as well as our girl's chronic UTI and hematuria. She goes over treatment plans and what to expect, and she has always been willing to listen in case I have questions or concerns on a plan. The rest of the support team is stupendous as well -- very kind, compassionate, and professional. Wonderful vet office, cannot recommend highly enough.
