Meadowlark is a true gem! From the cozy, clean rooms to the gorgeous, expansive property, every moment here feels like a treat. This was our second time visiting. Our first time was a sunny, busy weekend where we spent our days by the pool and this time around was a rainy, fall weekend that felt so intimate and homey. Kurt and Richard are the ultimate hosts, we really enjoyed our (delicious) breakfast conversations. Our favorite B&B - we'll definitely be back!
I spent a delightful two nights at Meadowlark to get away from it all. I booked room #3, which didn't have a patio because I knew I would spend all my time at the pool. The room was spotless. The housekeeper is absolutely amazing and thorough. It was a very hot day and the a/c was on and the room was a pleasant temperature when I arrived around 3:15pm. There is no front desk and it feels like arriving at a friend's home; you head to you room and settle in. I met a lovely couple as I was arriving (Karen and Norm) and that set the tone for my stay.||The property is beautiful. There are gorgeous flowers everywhere, and nature that is simply stunning. The mineral water pool and jacuzzi as well as the overall vibe were exactly what I needed. The hosts, especially Kurt, allowed me my quiet time when necessary, but engaged with me when I desired. Breakfast was delicious and the conversation was fulfilling. I left with my spirit renewed. I cannot wait to return.
We stayed in the Pond Room for one night. We traveled to Napa, from our home in San Francisco, to attend an event at a local winery. We stayed at Meadowlark, for the first time, pre-COVID and had a wonderful experience which compelled us to stay here again. Kurt and Richard (proprietors and active hosts) could not have been more authentically kind, gracious and friendly during our visit. The room and property were meticulously clean and landscaped. The pool area, spa and sauna were also spotless and in good working order. Note - this is an adults only resort. The pool area is clothing optional. Some guests had bathing suits on, some didn't. Never for a moment did it feel creepy or sexualized. We love this place and will recommend to all our friends.
This was our first time staying at Meadowlark. I still can’t get over how beautiful the grounds were. It was the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. My boyfriend and I stayed in the Meadow house and it was gorgeous. The house was very clean and the amenities were amazing. We enjoyed coffee every morning and wine in the evenings on our private deck. The pool area was quiet and relaxing, with plenty of areas to sit and enjoy the sun. A beautiful sit-down breakfast is offered every morning. We enjoyed sitting with other guests and the hosts during breakfast. Kurt and Richard are lovely and had so many great stories. |We can’t wait to stay at Meadowlark in the future! |
Visited Napa Valley for a long weekend girls trip, and stayed at Meadowlark. It is a lovely, special place. Kurt and Richard are kind and caring hosts. The property felt so warm and welcoming, and like sanctuary even though we were only a few minutes drive away from downtown Calistoga. We'd highly recommend Meadowlark when staying in wine country.||We enjoyed the pool every afternoon after visiting vineyards and before getting ready for dinner. We also loved visiting the horses on the property and feeding them carrots. Delicious sit-down breakfast every morning. Tip: if you booked in advance (like we did) and have special requests (which we did for dietary restrictions and additional linens for 3 of us in 1 room), send a nice reminder note to the property a day or two before arriving. We had made notes in our original online booking, and staff were very quick to accommodate after we arrived and pointed out a few things we still needed. In hindsight, sending a quick note ahead of time would've helped make things a little smoother. They are a small operation, not like a huge hotel chain, so I'm happy to do my part as a guest. ||All in all, we loved staying at Meadowlark and would highly recommend!
Picturesque setting. Spacious accommodations. Charming hosts. Fabulous breakfasts.||We spent four nights at the Meadowlark. Kurt and Richard made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Our first floor suite had a king size bed with french doors that opened to a covered deck with garden views. The deck was an ideal spot for morning yoga; later in the day we sipped wine while swallows swooped overhead. The pool and hot tub area were well appointed, with plenty of lounge chairs and soft evening lighting. The farm fresh eggs were delightful, and we lingered over lively breakfast conversation.||We’re so glad we stayed at this special place and plan to return for another visit!
An incredibly relaxing few days! We loved that it was dog-friendly and childfree; it meant we were able to bring our pup for a fantastic vacation instead of leaving him behind (our dog totally made himself at home playing with their dog). The hosts are friendly and thoughtful, the breakfasts delicious, the location close to town (3 minutes to downtown Calistoga) and the pool and hot tub wonderful. Lots of places to sit and hang out. Room and bed were comfortable; loved that it had a small fridge to keep our drinks cool. We saw a deer wandering the grounds one morning! It was the most relaxing vacation we've had in a while, just sitting and reading by the pool and jumping in for a swim when we needed to cool off.
Just came home from a 4 days/3 nights girls trip to Napa Valley, and we had a wonderful time staying at Meadowlark. It truly is a special place. Kurt and Richard are kind and caring hosts. It was so nice to be only minutes from town and all that Napa Valley has to offer, but at the same time feel far away in a relaxing, peaceful sanctuary. We'd highly recommend Meadowlark when staying in Calistoga. Great location. Amazing pool, hot tub, and sauna area, which we enjoyed every afternoon after visiting vineyards and before getting ready for dinner. Beautiful grounds with horses and chickens that guests can visit whenever. Delicious sit-down breakfast every morning. Loved this place and most things about it. The pool is amazingly heated - I was swimming on Christmas and the days before. The restaurant is delicious and the staff are great. We stayed in an "upgraded room" due to being a globalist but there was l

Having this park practically in my back yard has been a godsend ever since I moved to Calistoga.Even after the fires, this is the best place to take a "Forest Bath". The hike to coyote peak offers a spectacular view of the valley from the top. A fun o
Nice set up in a relaxing little space. You can sit outside and just enjoy your time. We had a chunky monkey smoothie, nice and fresh, a smoked salmon bagel and an açai bowl, all prepared fresh for us. A variety of good quality, healthy and tasteful
Came here for happy hour recently. Got the pepperoni pizza, red pepper crostini, and $3 happy hour PBR. Sat at the bar. Service was quick and friendly. The red pepper crostinis were DELICIOUS. I got there at 540 or so and had no issues getting a sea
Great service and friendly staff. I really appreciated that the owner chose some excellent rolls for me to try. If I'm ever back in the area I will be back. I highly recommend stopping in and giving it a try.
