Okay, so, here’s the thing: In the end, most everything seemed reasonably clean*. I did not, NOT find any indications of certain insects in the bedding—but the thing is that the ambience of the place was such that—for probably my first time ever—I was moved to Google how to check for them and proceeded to carefully check my sheets and the corners of the mattress (of the one out of two beds that I used) 😅😅 (But, again—it all looked clean!) The establishment includes a building where the office is and evidently “inside” rooms, so I was a little surprised when the very nice gentleman who checked me in directed me across the parking lot to the decades-old motel (parking lot access to the rooms) for my room. Which in and of itself is fine, it just looked pretty plain. I entered the room and wasn’t super-impressed there, either. One thing that’s bothered me is a lack of great light—there’s the large window in front and another in back (overlooking an empty area and a car wash) and none of the coverings are really designed to open up and keep open…but that’s actually FINE because anyone could be out and about peering in 😅 — but…the electric lighting in the room is actually rather dim, so, I’d love to see that improved. (Bathroom light is bright.) Large mini-fridge (and microwave) but without a freezer for some reason. I would have refreshed my cooler ice packs but what can you do. (There’s of course an ice machine.) Bathroom at first (and second and third and…) blush seems a little gross? A lot of cosmetic issues including some in the tub, in the toilet bowl and on the seat, on the door, and the electric heat cover by the baseboard is partially fallen off, etc., but I GUESS it’s clean otherwise? Honestly, it’s hard to really know wherever you stay how well housekeeping has cleaned the place. Who knows. This bathroom seems kinda gross but I didn’t detect any actual filth. (I was sure to, though, lay out a wash cloth to set my toiletries on top of, I’ll tell you what.). Bedspreads too large for the bed so that they drape onto the floor which added to the “ew” sense. But as I said, the sheets on my bed seemed clean and fresh, modern TV, fridge and microwave are nice even if there’s no freezer, shower walls and curtain were clean, no other detection of real grime. I walked less than a mile through a nice neighborhood to The Commons (hip downtown shopping and dining area). And as much as some may ask “what are you paying for,” clearly nicer places here cost a lot more, so, this is what it is for this price here. *Well, the headboards do have admittedly trickier places to clean and which are dusty. I get that they take more time to really get in there and that’s annoying and housekeeping won’t get in there every time but come on, when were they last done?

Completely disgusted!! We rented a room (2 queen beds) for two nights. The first night my two sons and one of the groomsmen stayed there. The second night myself, my other son who did not get married, and daughter in law stayed. When we arrived Saturday night the place was a wreck from the night before. Beds were not even made, nor did they change the sheets, NOR did they give us clean towels. I was utterly appalled. I had to sleep in a bed where some strange man had slept. The comforter on the bed smelled dirty and so gross like it had not been washed in a long time, so I took it off the bed and slept on just the top sheet. We woke up in the morning and had no clean towels to even wipe our hands on. Needless to say, we left immediately!! I will never stay here again and I do not recommend this place to anyone. And the price we paid was ridiculous! Prices were apparently jacked up because of Cornell and Ithaca College move in weekend. What a complete waste of money! Oh, and there is no elevator to get up to the second floor of the hotel so you have to drag your suitcase up the stairs. There was a funky food smell in the hallway as well. I liked nothing about this hotel. If I could give it zero stars I could!

Great location near shopping and restaurants and the front desk person was friendly. The room's AC was strong and quiet. That's where the good news ends. Our room was on the 2nd floor of the building with interior hallways. The hallway had an overpowering stench of body odor so I had to hold my breath while walking to the room. The room itself was reasonably clean, but the carpet and bedspreads were very old and worn out.

It's not great, but it is what it is. There for college move in. Everything else in town was either booked or had tripled their prices. This is what I could get that wasn't astronomical. I knew this was going to be ... um, lower tier ... and it was. But beggars can't be choosers. The room was functional albeit very dated and a bit grimy. Beds were OK. Location was decent for our purposes. A nice Wegmans across the street and food options nearby. Their breakfast was about what I expected, packaged bagels and muffins and coffee. Not exactly a meal, but enough to get you going I guess. Staff was nice and helpful. As I say, it is what it is.

What I appreciate about this inn is that it isn't trying to pretend to be something it isn't. The prices reflect what you should expect to receive. They don't pretend to have a pool, or gym or for it to be luxurious . In fact the green rugs and wall paper in the room looked straight out of a 1970's time warp, which is cute in a nostalgic way. (rugs could use a cleaning, they felt crunchy). The mattress is hard so it is what it is, if you have back problems move on. Also for accessibility purposes, I will comment that across from the main building, has stairs and the front doors to each room on the 1st floor is not wheelchair accessible unless they bring out a ramp. The front desk was personable and polite and got me checked in and out efficiently. On my first night she even wrote the names of recommended coffee shops after I asked, very sweet of her. That said, it is clean, I did not find any roaches, bed bugs etc in the rooms. Yes there were a few fruit flies, but they are probably coming in from the bathroom vents from outside. Be smart and keep your food covered. The two housekeepers I saw were working hard probably for not a lot of tips, so support local businesses. If you come here in a Rolls Royce or Cadillac then your probably going to want to keep it moving and stay at a Hilton or something. But for the price you are in a good location, right off the main road and 8 mins outside of downtown, 9 minutes to six mile winery. Wegmans, Walmart, Walgreens, dollar tree all right across the street. Breakfast is store bought bagels and cream cheese as others have said, but I didn't expect they were going to even have free food so I had packed my own and heated it in the rooms microwave and stored snacks I like in the mini fridge. TV worked, I felt safe enough to sleep at night, my car didn't get broken into. Lots of other immigrant families stayed here for a night or so, probably to drop off their kids to Cornell. The pamphlet at the front desk with details about the inn shows a women with the charm of the 60-70's outfit on 😂 loved it. I don't have anything negative to say, the price is right.

Positive: Location. Negative: It is dirty. We found some stuff ion the bed right after we checked in. I understand this is not a fancy hotel for the price they are charging. But cleanliness is the least you can expect in a hotel.

Ngl I was a bit scared to book because of the reviews but it wasn't bad. I feel some reviews are way too exaggerated. I got what I paid for; something lowkey to spend and rest for the night with the essential products and amenities. Breakfast was as NYer as it can get. Bagels and coffee. The staff was okay, neither rude or nice, they were just doing their job without overdoing the check-in/check out process. The room were cozy, ac worked fine and the beds were comfy with like 2 comforters for you to use depending on how cold/warm you get. Towels were provided and bedroom was clean. I would stay again.

Rooms were run down and dirty and stuff was broken. I'm ok with a run down room if it's cheap, but over 120 dollars for one person and a nasty room is just robbery at this point.
