Beautiful hike, waterfalls were spectacular. Trail was very overgrown and super buggy so come prepared with a good bug spray, wear long sleeves & pants. Good hiking shoes are needed. Be prepared to spend a few hours if you really want to see it all and stop to use restrooms before you get there as there were no facilities on site. I took my 2 dogs and they loved it but it isn't a super easy walk so I would suggest dogs go only if they are willing and able to hike and are really good on a leash which mine are. For experienced hikers this is not a difficult hike but just beautiful and not crowded.
Rock Run Valley is the best place for cliff jumping on a hot day, and the Loyalsock Forest area (further down Rock Run road) has lovely primitive campsites and trails. There are no bathroom facilities but the sites have fire pits. Watch out for black rattlesnakes!!
Beautiful as it is, it wasn't overcrowded, which was fantastic! It is tranquil and invigorating at the same time. If only it's closer to where I live...
They mean it when they say no winter maintenance. Please do not go here if you are not able to rescue yourself. We had to hike to town to find the people who abandoned their car in the way of us getting down off the mountain. It is a really beautiful area and I do recommend you go there.
Awesome place to. Natural beauty in Pa.
Found this place from Facebook friends and I fell in love ! Short walk to the falls and great swimming and fishing!
This quiet, remote area has a lot packed into it! It’s close to other well-known areas, and comes complete with beautiful scenery, hiking trails, a ghost town, some fairly rare flora (saw two things in one day that I’ve been looking years for), waterfalls, hunting and fishing. That’s a lot for a pretty compact area! I’ve been there twice the last week, and I’m sure it won’t be the last!!
Beautiful area with unique rocks and waterfalls. Wandering the steam bed was fun and fascinating.
