Walking the river was great! Wonderful views in both directions! The kids loved walking the trail and also playing on the playground! There are a lot of places to eat within minutes of the park if you plan on having a picnic! We will definitely be bringing the family back in the summer time!
A beautiful park located alongside the Cumberland River. A nice size parking lot and clean restroooms on site.
The park has several picnic areas, a playground, a BCycle station, and a boat ramp, as well as the "the River Flows Museum," depicting Clarksville's rich river history.
The park is also home to the Clarksville RiverWalk, a 2-mile walking trail that connects on the south end to the Upland Trail via the Pedestrian Overpass at College Street, and on the north end at the Red River across from the Clarksville Greenway.
It's also dog friendly with many dog waste areas and bins along the walk.
I was disappointed, however, to see so much trash and litter along the rocks and waterway.
As well as a lot of hooks and fishing lines. I picked up every hook I saw and disposed of them in my short walk as well as multiple glass beer bottles.
I will never understand why anyone litters or how anyone thinks nothing of it as they toss it among nature??? There were several trash cans scattered about. Just no excuses.
Im also surprised the employees dont clean up the debris and trash??? Especially all the hooks and lines that endanger the birds, fish, and all wildlife.
This review is specifically about the McGregor Park light display every year for Christmas. We go every year to see the display and the nice trees that are all decked out in lights however, I never really realized how much work Goes into applying the lights to the trees.
I want to acknowledge the people that wrap those trees with attention to detail and precision placement of the lights through tiny branches in the top of the trees. It takes skills and it’s noticed and appreciated. ❤️🎄
I go every year to see the lights unfortunately a bunch were out of not working but was still nice just remember to bundle up
We go to see the Christmas lights every year. If you go a bit early, there’s a vendor fair right before Thanksgiving. The kids like the playground too.
Christmas displays are always a joy to see and it's great to be able walk through the lights along the river.
This is a fantastic environment over seeing the river bend. The grounds are kept superbly clean, the trees are professional lit for the holidays and you're sure to always find a friendly face.

Itâs a fantastic trail to run on or just go for a walk. Thereâs a lot of wildlife to see and hear so keep your eyes and ears peeled and youâre bound to find a deer bounding through the woods or some beautiful birds singing in the trees. It offe
Came out to these trails for the first time as we traveled through the area. Wasnât sure what to expect but the trails surprised us how there was more to ride then we assumed. My 12 year old was thrilled with the many feature options built into the
Our kids love going here. It has a larger playground at the front entrance with a 3-story slide, lots of swings, and plenty of areas for kids to climb. It even has a smaller playground set to the side for smaller children. There is another playground
Great fun, there is a pond with ducks, ( no bread, it's harmful to ducks) ball fields, a playground, just a peaceful place to take the kids.
The dog park is nice and shaded.
Iâve only been going to Prime for about 8 months, and I canât recommend them enough. Are you looking to get fit/healthy, but donât know what to do? Go see them. Are you someone whoâs somewhat active or eating healthy-ish, but needs motivation
Cool spot, not the best place to play pool though. Pool tables aren't leveled, but it's still a good time for everything else. The workers are the best here. Extremely nice and helpful. Shout out to Mandy!
