I get really uncomfortable sleeping anywhere away from home, but this place was absolutely amazing. It's family owned and operated, the man at the front desk was extremely nice and it was easy to check in, not to mention SO inexpensive. I seldom feel clean in a hotel, even the "nice" ones but this one was different. The beds, floors, bathroom, shower were all great and I felt completely comfortable. I recommend this place 100% and if I'm back in the area, I will most definitely stay here again.

Great Motel! We stayed here for our annual trip to Saratoga Race Track and we were very happy! It is only about 10-15 minutes from the track. Everything you could need is on this road from a deli for sandwiches for the track, restaurants, convenience store and Dairy Haus for ice cream which became a nightly thing for us! ||While the rooms are a little small bit that is only due to the fact that there are 2 beds. Even still my husband and i found it plenty big enough for us! The AC worked great and there was a fridge/freezer as well as a microwave all of which are fairly new! The rooms are small but are CLEAN! The owners clean the rooms themselves leaving nothing forgotten and supply the bathroom essentials! Coffee and donuts in the am is a plus and owners, Gail and Jeff are the sweetest! They gave us good directions and suggestions. We have finally found our annual spot to stay! If are looking for a great no frills motel that has what you need and is CLEAN!!!! This is the place to stay! Thanks Gail and Jeff!
I usually only post good reviews, but after what was done to us this weekend I need to let future visitors know to NEVER EVER BOOK HERE! They canceled our reservation with no warning, no call, no consent or heads up of any kind!! We pulled up to check in on the day we were scheduled to and were told our room was given away with no warning. We were 5 hours away from home with nowhere to stay or go and were left stranded...the worst feeling ever. I booked our room back in OCTOBER 2022 after having stayed there the previous June and received full email confirmation. The rooms nearly doubled in price in the year since we had been there, but clearny no renovations of any type have been done in nearly 25 years. We are creatures of habit and thought they were trustworthy to book again, but boy were we wrong. The owner was extremely aggressive, unprofessional, confrontational, flippant, and rude. They double booked our room and lied saying that we never showed up. I have a paper trail to prove our reservation was scheduled properly, we were to check in on Saturday June 17 with a Monday June 19 checkout. Upon arriving at 3:PM the day of check in the owner lied to my face saying we were a no show the day prior (not even when we booked for) and they gave away our room! We were confirmed to stay Saturday - Monday! They screwed everything up and instead of attempting to be kind, apologetic, or helpful in any way shape or form to a woman in tears the owner decided to get loud with someone they just ripped off, basically throwing us out. I was told to leave because there was no room for us anymore and nothing was going to change. Even if they screwed up the reservation on their schedule the room could have been paid for both nights by us and never should have been given away. On the reservation they had my cell phone number to contact me if they had concerns or questions of any kind. I have NEVER experienced this level of unprofessionalism, and inappropriateness from any business anywhere. This man would not even speak to us and told me my email confirmation was obsolete because he had already given away our room and nothing was going to change. We considered calling the police on this man for this fraudulent reservation and aggression but left in a hurry because he wouldn’t even let my poor husband use the restroom after being in the car for 5 hours. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau already and have informed my credit card to not accept any fraudulent charges from these criminals. Shout out to the Inn at Saratoga for hooking us up and saving the day with a discounted room, free breakfast, and free drinks due to this incredible inconvenience. The McGregor Inn’s reputation precedes them. Don’t make the mistake of trusting this place because clearly they do not honor any reservations made and are just money grabbing scammers. Horrible sketchy people, horrible sketchy place.

My sister and I had the opportunity to go to Saratoga Springs this weekend and stayed at the McGregor Inn Motel. The owners were friendly and very accommodating. Our room was clean and we loved the surroundings. It is a quaint and charming place to stay, we will definitely stay there again.
This the second time we have stayed there. The rooms are just right for us. Very clean and comfortable. Great value for the price. The owners are great. Planning or next stay.
