McGee's Scot Irish Pub - Restaurant in Anderson - 116 W Orr St, USA

We loved absolutely everything about this pub! The atmosphere was fun, the food was great and the service came with a smile. The spaces are clean and well kept and the parking lot across the street is very convenient with parking downtown being a bit challenging at times. Highly recommend! We want to return soon to try more off the menu.

We really enjoyed our visit here. Staff was so friendly and attentive (not overbearing at all). We chose to eat outside. Very nice setting. Appetizer and entrees came out fairly quick. Bathrooms were clean. I had the duck beast.... tender and delicious. We were very pleased with our dishes. Looking forward to coming back soon

An absolute, unplanned, wonderful find! The steaks were absolute perfection! Tender and full of flavor. Atmosphere has a warm, pub feel, service was excellent. Look forward to our next visit.

On a sporadic trip to Anderson, I was looking for something to eat and saw PUB in the name. I love pubs and pub food. This place did not disappoint. The Irish pub feel starts as you are walking to the door. Decor and atmosphere were on point. Staff was all friendly. We sat at the bar because naturally that's what you do at a pub if you have the chance. Our bartender Angelina gave us all the specials and was attentive throughout our visit. I ordered the voodoo burger with my side being their special stew (I am a soup person). The flavors were amazing. Perfectly cooked burger. The bun matters, and they choose wisely. The other order was a special of the day, cowboy burger( I know it's an Irish pub What are we doing!) This burger was large and very flavorful. The curry Cole slaw was a big change to what us southerners are used to and I could not of been happier. Glad our choice was to stop here. We will be coming again. We had missed brunch ( I didn't even know they had it, considering I just found this place), so the plan is to go back and indulge. Keep up the good work. Staff being super friendly is always a win in my book, and I can tell the kitchen staff really values the product they are serving. I felt like I was home, and that's what a pub atmosphere should be.

11/24/23 Lunch. Flags of various football schools hanging from the ceiling gave the place a fun vibe. The rest of the decor was hard-core Irish Pub. The food we had was just ok. The tapenade was super dry. I mean, it was so dry, the olive pieces crumbled apart instead of clinging to the pieces of dried bread. Average at best. The Shepards pie was very good. Better than I expected! So combining the interesting decor with some really good Shepards pie, I'd give today's lunch an "average" experience. Now, don't order a steak. We did, and it was terrible. We sent it back bc it came out cold. I'm not spending $30 for a cold piece of meat. But the Shepards pie was good! Excellent: Uniquely satisfying. A special place. Very Good: Better than expected. Average: An everyday experience. Just OK. Fair: Below par. Dirty smells. & / or flies.

We have been pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is almost like in an original Irish pub. Very cozy and relaxed. The staff was pleasant and very attentative even though they have been super busy. But the real surprise was the food. We both had the fish and chips which has been fabulous. But the coleslaw was the best I had ever in my life. I don't know what they did to it, but it was from out of this world. We will make this place a regular. As said before. We will make this place a regular and went for the new years eve celebration 🍾. There could have been more entertaining things like dj or karaoke, but the atmosphere and food have been still wonderful. I had the corned beef with cabbage and it was out of the world

We had the pleasure of eating here once again. The pork chop was seasoned perfectly. My shrimp and chips were amazing! I love this place and their staff. If you haven't tried this place, just wait until you do! You'll be addicted to the food and atmosphere!

We had a wonderful meal! The food at McGee’s is delicious, portions are good, and service is always top-notch. I am glad I ordered the restaurant week sampler platter - so many great choices. My friend ordered the chicken liver appetizer - OMG, they were moist and buttery - great job kitchen staff! Shout out to Angelina for taking care of our small group and knowing the ins/outs of the regular menu as well as the restaurant week specials. McGee’s is highly recommended!
