McAlister's Deli - Sandwich shop in Taylors - 5318 Wade Hampton Blvd, USA

Food at McAlister was very good and both my spouse and I enjoyed it. We ate lunch there so we got the Half Sandwich / Half Salad deal and it was perfect for a lunch. They also have baked potato and soup. The place was fairly busy for a late lunch but wasn't really loud and noisy. The atmosphere was very fast food but clean and inviting. The service was fast and the food came out hot. Essential for a fast food spot. I'll give them a thumbs up and will probably go back for another roast beef sandwich.

I was looking forward to a hot and soft grilled cheese but instead received a sliver of cold, hard cheese on a piece of bread with another piece of bread thrown on top. It didn’t even stick. My girlfriend also ordered lasagna but received chili? Not even close.

My review happened Christmas Eve. McAlister's went out of their way to help our Christmas Eve dinner. I placed an order at another Taylors area restaurant and received a confirmation email for pick up Christmas Eve. My husband and I went to pick up the order...the door was locked and lights were off. I thought Uh Oh! Sure enough, the restaurant we placed an order at was closed. We panicked because that was our Christmas Eve dinner!!! Across the street was McAlister's Deli. We drove over and prayed they would be able to help us. Went in and explained what happened. This group, working on Christmas Eve and closing in an hour, went above and beyond in their help. We were able to get various deli wraps along with sweet tea, mac and cheese and potato salad. They saved our Christmas Eve! Thank you so much for the Christmas miracle you did for us! We would have been eating cold ham sandwiches on Christmas Eve if it weren't for you! Thank you!!! P.S. Everything was delicious!!!!

I love this place and have been enough times to finally drop a thought. It’s brand new to Greer and it never seems overly busy. Yesterday we are there and I ordered the potato with butter, cheese, & sour cream. I have only ate this menu item every time I go, I enjoy it that much, but the potato this time was very different. Seemed as if they used a whole block of cheese & I couldn’t stomach so much that I had to scrape it off. I guess next time I’ll ask for light cheese. This was ridiculous. As for the atmosphere, tables are always dirty when I’m in. There is an employee walking around, but not really tending to the tables in a timely manner. We wanted to sit in a specific spot, but couldn’t due to dirty tables.

Paid online and used the window to pick up. The guy servicing the window this Sunday evening was so nice and made my first experience at this location awesome! Food is always great at McAllisters! I go for the potatoes!! I do wish the food came with a drink after spending $13 on a meal, but I’ll keep coming back for the service and potatoes!

We had a Ruben and it was fantastic with a side salad which is a huge portion in the salad. We also had a couple of broccoli and cheese soup that was delicious. Overall the food was really good and plenty of food. In my opinion. Way overpriced. I probably would have given it a better score like a five. Everything costs a lot of money nowadays and I guess that's just the way it is. But the place was very clean and a good atmosphere and really really good food.

I was disappointed on my first visit. Our order was incorrect. When I explained this to our server he said, I would have to get back in line and place my order. Then he turned and left without a word. (That comment didn't help with this review.) Also, the Ruben sandwich didn't have any sauce. Not only was our order incorrect, we heard that other customer orders were incorrect too.

Finally tried the new McAlister’s and I’m glad we did. Great food as we’d expect but in a bright new location with a great staff. Very friendly team that was attentive, engaging and very helpful. Watched what I assume was the manager coaching the employees in a positive and constructive manner. The restaurant and the parking lot are small which will make rust times challenging, but I’m very happy to have a new McAlister’s close to home!
